Bob, I have an inexpensive radio shack omnidirectional antenna in my attic and it works just fine. Easily picks up stations 35-40 miles away. I used rg-6 coax for the run to the basement location where the receiver is. Bob K
Does it happen when someone is using a cell phone? I had interference from my cell phone with my subwoofer. My installer used a shielded cable since it is at a preamp output level, but it didn't seem to work. I fixed it by replacing the shielded cable with RG6 shielded cable. No more...
I was pretty upset when I read this thread, so I sent a note to the U.S. President of Denon (through the Denon Website). I got a reply that it was forwarded, so I'll post any response I get. Here is the note and response to date: Dear Bob, I have forwarded your e-mail to the President...
Thanks Lisa, I thought someone might mention the Mitsubishi TVs. I am looking for a 64 or 65 inch screen. I am building a new home in Michigan about 35 miles SE of Kalamazoo (western side of Michigan). Don't know if OTA HD reception if feasible in that area. I know cable isn't. I currently have...
So would buying one now be unwise? How long does a RPTV usually last? I am making the move from a traditional CRT type to RPTV. Now I'm now sure what to do. Are there any other brands that you might recommend? I currrently have a Mitsubishi 35" tube which as served me well for 10 years. Comments...
Thanks Skyler, I went to the Forum you suggested and looked at the posts. Do you know if Pioneer has determined what the root cause is? It does look like they are trying a few different fixes without exactly knowing what causes the problem. Have you seen the problem on your set?
I am looking at purchasing a rear projection television for my home theater. I have lots of windows and I believe that rear projection will offer better contrast than a front projector. Does anyone have any comments about Pioneer Elite rear projection TV?
A Classic masterpiece not mentioned is Todd Rundgren's Something/Anything? A fantastick album from the early 1970's. I'd rate this one :emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup:
This is from memory, so I'm not 100% sure that I'm right, but in wall speaker wire is designated as CL2. So any wire that is CL2 or CL3 or above is OK for in the wall use.
I agree with Rick_FL - - Black. In the early 70's I had a brushed aluminum Marantz 1060 integrated amp - was cool at the time. Back then you listened to records - some of you remember those big black discs (sometimes even other colors - even with pictures on them!) so other than listening to...
Thanks for the idea of looking up Xantech's web site, Jerry. I don't know why I didn't think of it.
Went to the Xantech web site and downloaded a pdf file for trouble shooting. Their advice was to put a 470 ohm resistor in parellel with the ground and IR signal line.
I did that.
Now I...
Long time observer, first time poster!! I have what I consider a basic question. I have an older Denon AVR 3000 that I use for whole house audio. It is located in my basement home theater. I use a Xantech smart pad in my great room and other IR sender modules throuhout the house to send IR...
Hi Bruno,
I have a 4802 and absolutely love it. Both receivers are decent, I just think you need to listen to each and deceide on the one that best fits your needs.;)
