Anyone know the release date for the Equilibrium DVD?

Even any proof it's coming out on DVD? I can't find anything about it anywhere. I loooove this movie.

House of the Dead III and HDTV support

I can't get HotD2 for Dreamcast with s-video to work on my direct view HDTV. Where can I get this VGA - component thing? I've never seen anything about this. Anyway to get the PS2 light guns to work with a direct view HDTV? Guncon one with Area 51 doesn't work on the PSX, and Guncon two with...

    What TVs support 720p?

I have a 27" Samsung HDTV, and I'm assuming it doesn't support 720p, it only supports 480i/p and 1080i as far as I know. What TVs do support 720p? I haven't seen it advertised on any. I asked a guy at Tweeter and he said they didn't carry any.

XBox The Thing has horrible skipping cinemas

My XBox sure doesn't seem to be dying. No skipping in any other games, CG or otherwise. I got a 2nd copy of the game, same thing, so I got worried, but that copy ALSO skipped in my friend's XBox that also works fine with everything else. A bunch of other people at GameFaqs agree the cinemas...

XBox The Thing has horrible skipping cinemas

I've talked to some other people, and quite a few have the skipping too, and then there are other people who say they don't have it. Are you sure you don't see any skipping at all? It isn't huge long skips, it's quick little ones.

XBox The Thing has horrible skipping cinemas

Ugh, I was so disappointed by the cinemas of this game. They skip about every 5-10 seconds, and it's very noticeable.

    PS2 problem with component cables

I'm suffering a weird little problem with my PS2. I'm using Sony Component cables with the Samsung 27" HDTV. I switch the TV/Video to DVD, then turn on the PS2. When it boots up, all the menues are lightly flickering. Not that bad, but definitely noticeable even if you aren't looking for it...

    PS2 flickering

Ya. I'm not sure if it is technically flickering or just them moving. But there's definitely something changing.

    PS2 flickering

I know this topic is old. But it's still bothering me. It's there sometimes, then other times it's perfectly still, no flickering at all. It's usually fine at first, then flickers as time goes on.

I can't find my manual, does anyone know where I can get one?

Need some help setting TV up

For the ghosting, I'm watching TV. It sometimes looks like I can quickly see the old image on top of the new image if the entire screen is suddenly changed (like a new camera angle or something). I'm probably just paranoid about this, so I'm not gonna worry about it. As for the geometry...

Need some help setting TV up

Hi everyone, I have a 27" Samsung HDTV, and I've noticed some weird things I have to fix in settings. 1) Part of the picture curves. The upper left hand corner curves towards the top and the lower left hand corner curves towards the bottom. And it seems to start fairly high up, at least...

Any reason to import Rez for DC if I already have it for PS2?

    GCN P-scan question: Please help

I was playing RE before, so it was in 480i. Then I switched to Pikmin and it didn't prompt me. I then held B and then it did, and I chose P-scan. I then checked other games and they automatically prompted me, but that was probably because I had just selected P-scan from Pikmin. I must have...

    PS2 shimmering

Yah, the jaggies are pretty bad, but at least I know that isn't my set calibrated wrong or something. I was actually playing Guilty Gear X, a 2D fighting game, so there aren't any jaggies. I was just making sure something wasn't wrong with my PS2 or TV, because shimmering with text looks...

    PS2 shimmering

I'm using component cables at 480i for my PS2 (TV is Samsung HDTV). I don't notice this problem during gameplay because I'm obviously focusing on playing. But at title screens and menus, I can see that the screen appears to be shimmering a little, like words will noticeably be moving. I'm...

    GCN P-scan question: Please help

I have an HDTV and component cables, so I can use progressive scan. I started the GC and held down B and I got the option to turn on P-scan and I did. The next time I used that game, it automatically brought me to the P-scan option screen, I didn't need to hold B. But then I put in a different...

    PS2 flickering

It's funny because I don't notice it all the time, I only really see it after the TV has warmed up, like been on at least 10 minutes. Right when you turn it on, like after only 2 minutes, everything seems more solid.

    PS2 flickering

In PS2 games, and even in the browser, words, especially light colored ones, flicker to a good extent. You can noticeably see it. I'm using component cables on an HDTV. Is this the flickering associated with 480i which the removal of is what makes 480p look so much better? If so, I can't...

    Screen cutting off top

I'm playing Guilty Gear X for PS2 and the score at the top above my life bar is caught off a little. I never noticed this before because I don't think any of my other games have things this high up. What can I do to fix this (I have that 27" Samsung HDTV)?

    Aliasing with just words?

I don't see sharper everything. Everything is so aliased it is unbelievable. In Zelda:MM, Link's face looks almost like a giant smudge, with the details just barely poking through the aliasing. Same with Donkey Kong 64.

    Aliasing with just words?

On systems like Nintendo 64 and PSX, I get horrible aliasing staircase stuff on everything, stuff as simple as just the picture that is the title of the game on the title screen. Any text is hard to read because of aliasing. How can the programming be so bad that things like text looks bad? I...

    XBox w/progressive scan

Why would the internal line doubler affect a progressive scan? 480p already shows all the lines, why would it strip away half the lines and then use the doubler?

    Samsung 27" HDTV: upconverting?

I'm just wondering if my 480p signal is really showing up 480p.
  25. Cory R. B.

    XBox w/progressive scan

Yes, Monster component cables, XBox is in 480p mode, TV is set to progressive scan mode.

    Samsung 27" HDTV: upconverting?

I've seen some stuff about HDTVs not really displaying in 480p and instead upconverting to 900i or something like that. I have the 27" Samsung HDTV (the TSL293-whatever one). The manual says it supports 480p and 1080i. Does it really display in these modes, or is there upconverting?

    XBox w/progressive scan

I'm trying to see what is better about progressive by switching from progressive to non-progressive while playing my Xbox games (playing, changing the XBox menu, then playing again). I know the technical reasons why progressive is better, but I don't see any difference. What should I look for?

    Running out of component input

Get two A/V Composite switch boxes. Component uses same specification cable as composite, you just need two switchers since component is 5 cables. Make sure you do get component cables to connect the switcher to the TV, though. Composite will work here, but component are made better and will...

Need help with a port on my TV

I have the 27" Samsung HDTV, and I'm confused by a port on the back. The TV input menu says I have 2 AV inputs and 2 AV/S-Video inputs. I see both the S-Video combo ones, but I see three normal AV ones. The top one doesn't seem to work. I'll plug a source into it and it won't recognize it...

    HDTV acting weird

I'm not trying to be annoying and I'm not trying to say my TV is bad. Believe me, I know I made a big investment and I know it is a good quality TV. I just have no idea where to start looking. I know about different quality connections like composite, S-Video, and component, and I know how to...
