I have a 27" Samsung HDTV, and I'm assuming it doesn't support 720p, it only supports 480i/p and 1080i as far as I know. What TVs do support 720p? I haven't seen it advertised on any. I asked a guy at Tweeter and he said they didn't carry any.

My XBox sure doesn't seem to be dying. No skipping in any other games, CG or otherwise. I got a 2nd copy of the game, same thing, so I got worried, but that copy ALSO skipped in my friend's XBox that also works fine with everything else. A bunch of other people at GameFaqs agree the cinemas...

I've talked to some other people, and quite a few have the skipping too, and then there are other people who say they don't have it. Are you sure you don't see any skipping at all? It isn't huge long skips, it's quick little ones.

Ugh, I was so disappointed by the cinemas of this game. They skip about every 5-10 seconds, and it's very noticeable.

It's funny because I don't notice it all the time, I only really see it after the TV has warmed up, like been on at least 10 minutes. Right when you turn it on, like after only 2 minutes, everything seems more solid.

I don't see sharper everything. Everything is so aliased it is unbelievable. In Zelda:MM, Link's face looks almost like a giant smudge, with the details just barely poking through the aliasing. Same with Donkey Kong 64.

Why would the internal line doubler affect a progressive scan? 480p already shows all the lines, why would it strip away half the lines and then use the doubler?

I'm just wondering if my 480p signal is really showing up 480p.

Yes, Monster component cables, XBox is in 480p mode, TV is set to progressive scan mode.

I've seen some stuff about HDTVs not really displaying in 480p and instead upconverting to 900i or something like that. I have the 27" Samsung HDTV (the TSL293-whatever one). The manual says it supports 480p and 1080i. Does it really display in these modes, or is there upconverting?
