The dvd store I work at indicates that the R1 version is now discontinued from our database, so I naturally assumed that another version is slated. I can wait, I hope it's a superbit edition though!

I own the R2 Japanese UE version, because I didn't want to have to worry about the PAL speed-up issue, but I couldn't say if the dts track is full-bitrate or not, it sure sounds alot better than the R1 version though!

David, According to www.thedvdetective.com the Japanese region 2 version of DAWN does contain an English DTS track. Did you order yours from the UK? Hope this helps.:)

Brian, I own the R1 Columbia-Tristar version and both language tracks are in 2-channel mono, not 5.1. I can only assume the HKL edition is much better.
