Derin, I bought the Denon 2802 and I really like it. You get full 6.1 capablity, DPL II, a minimum of soundfields,capable learning remote, simple set up and adjustments and it looks good. I have not regretted getting it one bit :D

Mark, Yes a sub wil make a difference. Generally smaller subs will need more power to do what a larger sub can do with less. Sunfire, Rel, Earthquake have good "small subs" as well as the two mentioned by Mike and Johnny. how small is small? how much $ do you want to spend?

Arron. I thought of that too. The room has a high ceiling (12.5 ft.)w/ no attic or space above which adds alot to the size. Also note the hardwood floor and that it's my second floor. These were big challenges to even getting rear speakers!! The room even has six sides with one end being open...
