Hello, Im having an issue with my digital connections on ym reciever. Its an older Onkyo, and I have 1 fiber, and 2 of the others. The problem im having is that i ran out of fiber connections, my xbox takes one, and both of my DTV units only take those, luckly my DVD player takes the coax ones...
ok i tried something else also, i changed my dvd setting to dolby digital/pcm, as opposed to stream/pcm, seems to work now. Does this make any sence??
Thanks
Kevin
I just tried it, put gladiator in, switched to multi-input mode, it played, but no sound coming from the rears. In order for me to play dvd-a i have to switch to the multi input mode.
Thanks
Kevin
PS--Im probably doing something wrong on my end
I have the JVC XV SA-75GD. When i switch over to the DTS on the DVD i get no sound from my reciever. I have those 5.1 inputs (i think theyre called multi-source) hooked up to the dvd player/reciever. I use those to play my DVD-A.
Thanks again
Kevin
Hello, I was wondering my DVD player is DTS equipped, but my reciever is not, I have an older 600 series onkyo. In order for me to listen to my dvds in DTS does the reciever also have to have DTS?
Thanks
Kevin

I just got a center channel to match my front speakers, but im not sure how high to place it, my TV is alot higher than my fronts. Is it ok to put the center up there and tilt it down?
Thanks

IM noticing on some of my sat stations the picture is awefully pixelated, usually on most of the major stations, nbc, cbs, abc. Is this a common problem with the dish not getting a strong enough signal?, right now i think my signals are at 84 for sat 110, and 78 on sat 119. Not sure if this is...
I have been reading that you should try and match your center with your main speakers. Is this absolutly neccesary?
I have B&W mains, kenwood bipolar surrounds, and am thinking of getting a Klipsch synergy sc-1 center. Will this do the trick or should I look elseware mabye for a matching B&W...
