Well, I saw this Thursday night, and I didn't really have the heart to comment until now. The plot is ridiculously stupid. The acting could have been worse, but was still pretty darn bad. Since I always jump at fast movements, I was jumping a lot, but I wouldn't say that the movie was scary...

Jodee, yes, for the most part these are live action. I say for the most part because most of the flying animals are animated. But the films are 90% live action. I'm afraid this is not the version you saw as a child, but htey are wonderful nonetheless. :)

Hooray! I've been wanting to own these on DVD for the longest time! Now I can throw away those horrid copies I taped off of PBS. Wonderful news! :)

I probably spend around $20 on average for each DVD purchase. The most I ever paid for a DVD was $40 for my Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box, but that, of course, was two movies, so you could count it as $20 per movie.

Good old Monty Python and the Holy Grail for me. :)

I have a question for all of you who've seen the Two Towers preview: since Lord of the Rings is no longer playing in my hometown, I was considering travelling to Baton Rouge, which is an hour away, just to see the new footage. Is it worth it?

I think I remember seeing that too, Billy, but I don't believe it was a deleted scene. It may have been part of the documentary, "The Beginning." Have you looked for it in there?
