There have been some very cool special editions:- Tron:SE Thelma & Louise:SE R2 Black Hawk Down:SE R2 Legend:The ultimate Edition Brotherhood of the Wolf:SE (if the canadian R1 is as cool as the french 3 disc special edition it will be excellent) Memento:SE From Hell:SE
I used to download a lot of albums but have stopped and only bother with a few cool albums every few months. I still buy a lot of music on cd, but the vast majority of it is promo or advance copies. That way I have found a lot of new acts i would not have listen to or now like.;)
This is as cool a special edition as Rushmore. There are also a few outtakes on the second disc, one of them with Ben Stiller in character with the twins saying welcome to this Criterion Collection dvd.
Managed to pick Innerspace on the weekend. I have managed to watch the film with and without commentary. First the new 2001 transfer of the film is stunning as is the new audio transfer. The extras are limited, cast and crew info, a 90 second trailer but you do get a very ammusing commentary...
Many thanks to Karsten Serck of german site areadvd.de who contacted Universal's european HQ to find out why the commentary elements from Michael J Fox are missing on the R2 version of the BTTF set. Here's the response he got: The ONLY item that differentiates the US and International disc is...

Many thanks to Fox's UK PR company who have been in touch with FOX in the U.S to ask about the U.S release of "24" As many of you know a couple of U.S DVD sites "announced" a R1 release last week that looked a lot better than the U.K release. However, Fix's UK PR tell us that the U.S...

Steve Baron did a commentary recently for Mike Bassett: England Manager on R2. So they should at least role out the special features on this. A few music videos, making of and of cause a commentary by Steve Barron, Lenny von Dohlen & Virginia Madsen.;)
Would go with
1. Aliens
2. Abyss
3. Brazil
4. Bladerunner
5. Rushmore (Criterion)
6. Buckaroo Banzai:SE
7. Robocop:SE (Current R2 release)
8. Brotherhood of the Wolf:SE (French R2 3DVD)
but i own same many cool classic films, it's to damn hard just to pick 8 films.
there is meant to be a special editon release in the autumn:-
info taken from r2-dvd.org:-
You may have read on U.S sites that the R1 release of "The Mothman Prophecies" will now be a plain affair for it's June release. This will feature only a music video and trailers. We can however reveal...
