I brought the rxv-1300 from reliable for somewhere around $550 shipped. They match the manufactors warranty. So far I am very happy with the purchase. I am currently driving vandersteen 2ce sig in front, with a vcc-1 center and vandersteen 1b in the rear. The 1300 has no problem driving the...
Email SVS and they will tell you if you old amp will work. I had a 20-39 cs plus using an old kenwood int amp and it sound great. The svs sub sound great and there customer support is as good as I have ever seen. Good luck
I have heard they sound very good, but they have to be the ugliest receiver on the market. I not sure what would be tougher getting my wife to like the H/K or the SVS sub! Sorry just my two cents
I got a yamaha rxv -1300 early in the for under $560 shipped. The company I purchased it from was not authorized, but honored the manufator's warrenty through their store for no additional charge. So far it sounds great in both music and moives. It replaced an old sony 8gx800es. Current setup...
Patrick, I sent you an email. I was wondering how you ordered the receiver. I would also like to get the RXz-1, but am having a tough time ordering from 6th ave. Thanks Jeff
I heard both at a stereo shop in Windsor, Ont. I thought the servo was a big step up. It just seemed a lot cleaner and bit more low end. But, I did not compare two vs one.
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows the weight of the Pioneer elite VSX-43TX. I can not find it on there web site. I am currently looking upgrade my sony es800 to either the Pioneer or Yamaha 1300/2300. Any comment on either would be a big help. Thanks Jeff
Hello, I currently have the vandersteen 2ce sig. They area solid speaker with a lot of low end. I have a varied taste in music and also use them in my HT setup (VCC-1 as center). Just another option.
Thanks Guys, I have an old pair of 1c's but they are going in my bedroom (still sound too good for rear speakers). I have heard the paradigm and can a great deal in Windsor, Ont at Livewire. I have not heard the energy and will give them a listen. Thanks Jeff
Hello everyone,

Hello everyone, I was wondering where to buy the avia software. Is there anyplace other then online to purchase the software (south of Detroit, MI). I just received a toshiba 50hdx82 and would like to calibrate the set. Out of the box the contast and brightness was high, but for the most part...

I just tested both the sony A3es (they didn't have a a5es out) and the Denon 3802 and didn't find a lot of difference in the sound for music. I also listened to the integra AND didn't much care for it. I have an old sony 800es abd think it sounds great for music with my vandersteen. It all...
Has anyone listened to the 430 or 530 yet. I am very interested in getting a secound receiver for my bedroom and I am curious as to what they sound like.
thanks
jeff
Hello,
I have listened to the pw2200 and had a sv cs20-39+ and the 2200 is not in the same league. The sv sub was great for music, I have a vandersteen 1b for mains and the sv keep up no problem. THe sv was total incredible for HT. Now if you step up tyo the paradign servo that's another...
Thanks everyone,
I currently have a soney gx800es and love it. Never had any problems. So I believe the 5 will be the way to go. I just wanted to hear some feedback for other members.
Thanks
Jeff
Enough with the fighting, lets get to the important stuff! How do you like the Sony. I am wavering back and forth between the denon 3802, yamaha 1200, and sony 5. I've listened to all three and like the way all three sound. I would just like some more members feedback on the Sony. I just...
I have a pair of 1b's and a vcc-1 center channel and my HT setup sounds great. Its hard to beat the 1c for price and sound. I have not heard anything to compare (except for the 2ce sig I just got off of audiogon) You may want to try www.audiogon.com and see if you can get a used pair of 1c...
Hello John,
Where did you find the sony str-da5es for 787.00 from authozied online dealer. I have heard the da3es and I thought the sound comparable to the denon 3802. I would be very interested in the da5.
Sorry to get off track.
Jeff
I have listened to both the 2200 and servo from Paradigm and had the 20-30+. You can not compare the 2200 with the SV subs (atleast +). THe servo would be a better comparsion. For the money, SV is the way yo go.
Jeff
I had an old Kenwood integrated amp running a 20-39+ and it worked fine. The sub sounded great, ( I had to send the 20-39+ back, but will be getting the 25-31 + in the late spring). I sent the spec's for the kenwood amp to Tom and had him to a look to make sure it would drive the sub. It...
Hello Rich,
I would also suggust Live wire. It a nice store with a great staff of people! I live in downriver and went over there after christmas. I listend to both; the servo is an excellant sounding sub (2200 is good). I would go that route if the price was right. I ended up buying a SV...
Hello Tom,
I'm just using an old integrated kenwood amp with the 20-39cs+ and it rocks. I wanted to get the best sub for the money and Tom V said the amp I had would have enough juice to run the sub. My suggustion is if you have an old integrated amp/stereo (that can drive 4 ohms) lying...
