I'm going through the same thing and have a similar budget. So far I've picked the Denon 4802 receiver, B&W speakers and the Sharp 9000 projector. Still not sure on screen or DVD. I've read about the new Firehawk and may wait a bit longer to see more info. on it. Good luck and enjoy.

A little help please. I'm considering buying the Denon AVR-4802. I as interested in music as theater and really want a nice sounding unit. I also like the flexibility the Denon gives. Any thoughts and possible "better" sounding units would be of great help. Thanks
