Is anyone having a problem with the pioneer dvr-810h dvd recorder paired with the zenith hd-520 sat receiver? I can not get the tivo to control my receiver with respect to changing the channels. Pioneer said the units are not compatable!

OK, Brian, I will be more specific. The Sunfire amp puts out about 2,00 watts into 2 ohms. 10^ft is bit large. I am thinking more on the line of 2 - 2 1/2^ft ported.

It will be used for both movies and music. Cost is no object, and the amp is a Sunfire Signature Stereo which is quite powerful. I would prefer a ported box.

Here is a question that should bring about a wide variety of opinions. If you were going to build a sub for your home which driver would you choose and what type of box would you put it in,i.e., ported or sealed? Thank you for any feedback you have to offer.

Why has no one mentioned the NAD S-170? I use it and so far I have found it to be a pretty good unit.

There is a switch box available that has 4 a/v inputs, L-R audio,composite video and s-video with the same options on the output. This should solve your problem for less than $50.00

after reading the response from the prior thread I ask myself - why would I buy a $1,200.00 dvd player (denon 3800) when I can get a $500.00 (denon 1600) that does not have "the bug"

Well, I guess I asked for it!! I bought it prior to all the above feedback which I honestly do appreciate. So what is a good DVD-A / V player? Also I do not see this "bug". Can someone educate me ?

Would it make sense to anyone if I used the above Elite unit as a pre / pro? It does seem to have all that I need, I just wanted to get more power so I figured an external amp (ATI) with 165w/ch would do it.

Thanks Angelo and Bob. When I mentioned the x-over I meant an overall setting as you mentioned above. As far as cost goes I figure about $2,000.00 would cover what I need. This would have to be after I sold the Elite and Sunfire units!
