Yeah, I flew out from Los Angeles to see Nearfest also in 2001. Okay, not for one specific band, but it's still a ways to go see some bands. Even better, I left my Nearfest tix at home. That sucked. :b

There's a huge discussion of electronic music recommendations here at Slashdot I listen every so often but the names that usually come up are things like Autechre, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, among others.

Geez, why should anyone be mad about it. We know it's T & A. I'm no stranger to liking that kind of stuff. It's not high art. It's rather easy to ignore if you don't like that kind of stuff. I say, go for it.
