If your not seeing any motion blur while viewing Blue-Ray then it's not your tv. It's probably your cable company and the compression they use. The more compression, the more channels they can offer. I see the same blurring on a couple of channels I get from Charter. It doesn't happen all the...
I ordered the TH-50PZ80U and it will be here on Thursday. A friend has a Sharp Aquos and I wasn't really impressed with the PQ. I will say that this person knows nothing about calibration and I'm sure the tv is still in the factory mode. My mom has a 3 year old Toshiba DLP. After I used the...

If you have a college close to you, talk to the computer science personal. They just may have an older mac sitting around that you could use. People also donate computers to non-profits. Check at schools, daycare centers, libraries, & churches. Randy T
What OS are you using? If it's WinXP, you'll need to patch your 3.0 software. You could also uninstall and reinstall Power DVD, and see if that clears up the problem. RGT
Jeff,
Any TV can view widescreen DVD's, but unless you have a TV with 16:9 enhancement (Squeeze mode) you loose around 20% -25% of resolution when viewing widescreen material. Go here for more information.

PC130 memory should be backwards compatible. It should work fine. You tried to upgrade to Windows XP and something went wrong with your CD-Drive? HP support sucks...I know....I use to own one! Give me your system specs and model number. I'll try to help you get XP running correctly. Randy T
Nathan,
After reading your post,I have a couple of questions. What are your viewing habits? Do you watch more TV or DVD's. What "type" of DVD's do you own/rent (WideScreen or FullScreen)? Is HDTV available in your area?
Samsung has a nice 27" HDTV-Ready TV for $699.

Jonathan, Settings can vary from TV to TV. Someone can have the same Samsung that has a great picture, but when you use the same settings, it doesn't look the same. First thing you should do is turn the contrast(Picture)down. Somewhere under 50%. I would really suggest either buying the Avia...
Sony is the only manufacturer that I know of that makes a television with "top-mounted controls". You could look at the Sony KV-32FS100. Best Buy has it for $799, but you may find it cheaper from another retailer or online. Randy T
As with most "name brand" computers, upgrading can be a nightmare. They don't want you to be able to upgrade too much...they want you to buy a new computer! A ram upgrade is easy. If the mainboard has an AGP slot, you could upgrade your video to a G-Force 3. I don't believe that you would gain...
I had the same problem with a Cannon 650U running Windows 98SE. I believe the USB controller in Windows 98 is very flakely. Everything I tried didn't work. About 3 months ago, I installed Windows XP and decided to try installing the scanner again. It's been working great ever since.
If you...
Some servers are slower than others. Try downloading a file from download.com and see what speed you get. I have a 1.5Mb cable connection. Some sites I get 120Kbs or higher, other sites, around 50Kbs. I've even been to some sites that barely squeek out 6Kbs.
Try this TWEAK TEST from DSL...
16:9 Anamorphic DVD Mode - allows playback of Anamorphic DVD's in their correct Aspect Ratio. Overall scanning process does not include black bars on the top or bottom of the screen providing higher resolution. You don't need a progressive DVD player. You will need a DVD player that has component...
No...You need a progressive scan dvd player. Are you using your local cable company or a "dish" for your tv reception? Are there any local channels that are broadcasting HD?
