There are two points I think are also very important. 1.) Finding a LBS (Local Bike Shop) who will size, fit and work with ya on the bike. It is also nice if they ride with you. I ride with the shop owners many times a week both road and mountain. That level of service is awesome. 2.)...
I am a member of IMBA, so I will have to look into it more. I think I might test drive one this weekend. I have done some open water (lake) and very calm white water. There are not alot of river options in Texas. I think I will by my own boat this summer. I still enjoy biking more than anything...
Wonderful looking car... I am considering one myself... I also have road and mountain bikes. I will be adding a kayak this summer, they just openned a kayak park here in the metroplex. How is the backseat passenger room? Will it fit four adults, bike gear, bikes and a large ice chest? thanks...
I feel the same... up till about two years ago, I would try to keep up with HT, computers and other electronic devices. Then I discovered cycling...wow I would have to say it is way more fun than home theater. I still enjoy movies, but I can definetly say there will not be anymore gear upgrades...
ahh yes my exact problem. I endded up using 2 4port Niles faceplates, in a four gang box at the rack. I am able to run my 5.1 and second zone from those two connectors.
I just recently upgraded to a Denon 3803 and a Parasound 1205. I can not figure out how to wire the tigger from the Denon to the Parasound? Is there a special cable I need? Thanks
The rear surrounds are done, leaving me the hardest part left to do. The rack. I am going to be building an elfa rack this weekend, and running all of the cabling hopefully before Easter.
Thanks again for all the suggestions.... I did a retro-fit last night. I put in a 4 gang box and hooked up the front sound stage. I went with the Niles Decora plate that holes up to 4 pair. Now I just need to find something to terminate my video, and the TV area will be done. I am going to use...
wow...thanks for the quick replys....just got off of the phone with levitron, and they will accept up to 14 gauge... what a bummer... I am going to call crutchfield next. thanks
I am trying to clean up my home theater area, for the wife.... I have 9 sets of 12 gauge home depot speaker wire coming out of a 2 gang box. I have look in the parts express catalog, but I do not see anything that would seem to take such a large gauge cable. Does anyone have any links? or...
Well after all of the marantz problem post, I am now having second doubts.... I am 99.9% sure I will be going to 3803 Denon and a Parasound 1205A. Any other suggestions? thanks
I am currently upgrading just about everything... here is the current setup followed by the new setup... Please recommend speakers in the 1k 1.5k range for all 5. Current Reciever Sony DE-STR945 SUB - PB12 Speakers 4 N-24s and 1 N-Center Upgrading Marantz 7300 & 3 Mono Blocks for the...
Could someone suggest some speakers and or places to listen to them in the DFW area? I was going with the JBL's based on all of the reviews on this site.
arrrrggggg 24 hours of research later... here is what I am thinking of building next week.... Marantz 7300 Marantz Mono Block Amps x3 for the Front Sound Stage SVS Sub S36 JBL's for the front S-Center for the center S26 for the rear surrounds
I have got the wives approval to spend some cash... I am currently running an older Sony STR-DE945 with NSP1 JBL's and a PB12. I am trying to decide most bang for the buck... I have looked at Seprates and nice intergate amps. How much difference are entry level seprates (ie Outlaw 750 / Amp) and...
I spent 2.0 years of my life playing Everquest. Looking back, it was a huge timesink. I let alot of my family, friends and work slide down hill. I was able to quit in the spring of 2001. It is the worse addiction I ever had. Jim Ed
I am thinking very seriously about a new SVS sub. I have a PB12, and was thinking for running it also, or selling it. Does anyone run 1 SVS and 1 Other Brand sub? or should they be a matched pair? Thanks Jim Ed
I think it is only the Best Buy listed above. I went to the Lewisville Best Buy at lunch, and they only had the 'Buy 2 Dvd's Save $3.00 Coupon'.... what a bummer!
I love to BBQ (Memphis Style) and grill. I often do steaks, shrimp, burgers and dogs on my Weber Gensis Grill. I also smoke Beef, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Dove, Deer and Fish all on my heavy smoker. I like to smoke with Hickory, Apple, Mesquite woods. I also like to marinate the food over night...
It seems over the last couple of days DDD has been upgrading it system. It also seems some of the prices have gone up. Has anyone noticed this? Thanks in advance
I have checked the Lewisville, Frisco, Mesquite, and Arlington area of Dallas / Fort Worth. :frowning: I am really bummed out, but there are a few more Best Buy's for me to check.
I ordered both of mine from DVD Empire. I was at the Lewisville BB during lunch and could not locate BOD or TS. I also saw a add for both of them at CompUsa, however they are out also. I think CompUSA is very wrong for contining to offer sales with low stock just to get you in the store. It has...
