Full Frontal was shot with a combo of digital (using a prosumer Canon XL1S) and film. I'm not sure how the DVD is sourced.

Has anyone else noticed a flickering in this transfer? Most pronounced during bright, outdoor shots. It is just this disc as well because I just put in Catch Me If You Can and it looks perfect.

Actually, Face/Off is anamorphic. Just too much EE in my opinion.

Dead or Alive is not 1080i. My set locks into anamorphic mode when a 1080i signal is recieved and it doesn't for Dead or Alive. Dragon's Lair 3D on the other hand did lock into anamorphic mode.

If I remember correctly, the free copies of the movie that some retailers were giving away with the PC/XBox game were marked as 16:9 but were the same discs as released in the Collector's Edition.

To add yet another facet to the confusion, some directors have the entire film hard-matted, effects shots or not. But, regardless of whether or not the film is hard-matted fully, partially, or not at all... the film is not in it's intended aspect ratio.

One thing that may keep this title off the market is the notorious recent past of it's star, Scott Schwartz. Though this didn't keep "The Toy" from being released, "KidCo" is much more of a childrens' film.

Picked it up today at a local store. Game is fairly good the little I've played though on an ISF calibrated set it is very dark.

Did you buy it? If not, avoid it like the plague. It's an abomination of this classic film. If you did buy it, hopefully you haven't opened it and can return it.
