Thanks Ted but those are jsut F connectors right? THen I'd need to get an adaptor to go from the F to RCA? I'd rather just slap an RCA connection right on the cable so I don't end up with a 2" long cable end with adaptors and such.

Compress would be great. My brother works for Time Warner Cable and they use compression connectors for the Coax cables so getting use of a took is no problem. I thnk he said the cheapest connectors he could find where $1-$2 a piece but I'm not sure where he looked.

And at Sears you can get a 2 year replacement warranty for like $7 which insures that if it breaks, I get a new one. And if they don't make it any more, I get a better one. heh heh.

Well I got one today from Sears since the Koss one I had would't play my DVD-Rs. I tried one movie and it played it all the way through with no problems what so ever. Gets my seal of approval so far. Box doesn't list DVD+Rs as a compatible format but I always use -Rs so that's fine with me...

What does unplugging it accomplish? I unplugged it for about 5 minutes or so and tried again with no luck... WOuld leaving it unplugged for an extended period of time make soemthing else happen that will fix it?

I won't rule out a DVD players just because it has Progressive Scan. But if there's two that are the same except for that and the one without it is cheaper, then I'd take the cheaper one. If the PS doesn't seem to cause a price difference, then that's fine, just it isn't a requirement.
