Speaker placement (6.1) for new basement, need help...

Jim J, I will try that out with the speaker thing. Two SVS subs are awesome (one is very good). I like a lot of bass and but I feel it more with two subs than one. That is one thing I notices right off the bat. That picture is not to scale. jeff

Speaker placement (6.1) for new basement, need help...

Frank Zimkas, The only way to get reference sound from a sub is that you must use two. I have two 20-39 CS+ subs and it made a big difference from one. When I listened to the Haunting the bass is strong and deep. When I had one sub it started to clip but two it did not. Movies that have a lot...

Who has a SVS "black box" and any improvements?

Looks like a second sub will happen in the near future but it will have to wait after our vacations. Anyway, how much is the difference for TWO 20-39CS+ subs vs. one. Tom V. (svs guru) says it is 6db. Is that a big increase? Where did you place sub (together, either sides of tv)? Did you have...

Vince, Since you think I increased the speaker setting too much do you think I should re-calibrate? I set my volume on the receiver to -15 (Denon 3801) and calibrated all my speakers to 75db. Should I set the volume to 00 and then recalibrate everything to 75db? Jeff R.
