Good point steve,
In my particular situation, i setup the testtones in DPL2 for listening to music CD's, and everything is great. In my personal opinion i have just the right amount of background music as compared to sound from the fronts. Now, lets say that i want to watch a TV show in DPL2...
I've got a question for those guys with this receiver. I too have been frustrated by the fact that the speaker levels cannot be changed on the fly without the annoying testtones coming on. I also found that the receiver can either work for home theater or for music, but not for both. I know this...
I had a Harman Kardon AVR45 with a low model Sonday DVD player and the audio drop-outs did occur. It was noticeable when navigating through the DVD menu, but it really didn't annoy me that much. However when i listened to music through the DVD player the drop-outs would cut off the first couple...
I've had my SR8200 set up for about a week and so far I've got mixed emotions about the unit. I upgraded from a Harman Kardon AVR45 DD receiver, and the step up was very noticeable. There are drop outs, but then again my HK had them too, so that didn't bother me. The other thing that really...
First off, adding an additional amplifier will not give you a total wattage of the 7200 plus the additional amp. You will need to connect the amp through the preouts on the back of your receiver. Your speakers are then connected to the amplifier.
I have a HK AVR45 and it was definitely lacking...
Since this product is so new, I haven't been able to find any reviews or info on it with the exception of Marantz's website. Are there any owners out there that would be willing to share their experiences with this product. I'd also love to know where you purchased the receiver. Thank you.
I have a question concerning the speaker set up of my system. I currently have 3 Marantz Monoblocks, and I can get a fourth very easily.
1st Question.
Which is a better way to use these amps with my PSB Image 6t's. Should I bridge the amps to get like 300W, and then send that over bi-wire...
I heard the new models aren't as bright as the previous ones. I'm running PSB Image 6T's in the front. I'd just like some help deciding since I can't test the receiver with my exact speakers before buying it. It would be impossible to find a place that has both PSB's and Yamaha/Onkyo.
I've been in the market for a new receiver for the past couple months now. I've read numerous posts regarding the high quality of the Yamaha, but at the same time I've also heard pretty good things about Onkyo. I've narrowed my search down to two receivers. The Onkyo 797 and the Yamaha RX-V2200...
Derek,
I've been looking into the RX-V2200 for some time now. I've had the opportunity to directly compare both the Yamaha unit and the Denon 3802.
Everyone on this forum will tell you that your decision will be based on a number of other factors such as your speakers, Percentage of home...
Actually, I've got a question about that. I have two Marantz MA500 monoblocks. I am planning on hooking them up to the preouts on a yamaha receiver. I was also looking at the magneplanar speakers. I feel like it would be a nightmare to timbre match a center speaker to them. SO, my plan was to...
I should have mentioned this, but another reason I've opted to upgrade is so that i can have a receiver in my bedroom as well. That was my initial reason for starting this crusade. I did however think about 2 more monoblocks or even an awesome 2 channel amp, but that doesn't accomplish my...
My current system is as follows.
Harman Kardon AVR45
Bose 301(to be replaced with PSB Image 6T)
3 Marantz monoblocks 125W each
I would like to replace the HK receiver withint he next couple of weeks with either the yamaha 2200 or the Denon 3802. I've read posts about the two receivers but i...
