well, i finally got my LFM-1 hooked up and ROFL - I put in AOTC during the opening scene - and i "literally" shook a candle off the countertop on the 2nd floor of my house, scared the **** out of my g/f taking a shower best $399 i ever spent :D

well, i agree with you guys - the Sony was awesome at the $128 that i got it for :) it served it's purpose, and i JUMPED on the $399 deal for the LFM-1 (b-stock) i was curious to see what type of measurements the WM40 can get... similar to the reviews that Ed does...

well - i have the Sony and I'm wondering what the specs would be using the standard db meter references, etc... i'm upgrading to the Outlaw LFM-1 (as soon as it gets here)

well, i took the chance last night and gave it a shot - fortunately the unit does a 15-second 'test' and if you don't respond it goes back to interlaced mode... so I selected progressive mode, and the screen didn't black out - but instead went into a weird display mode, almost like the old...

ok - i was under the assumption that component video allowed the 'progressive scan' imaging when i purchased the unit - granted it's not a WEGA set, but has 800-lines of horizonal resolution which seemed to be pretty good at the < $1k pricepoint I had at the time... thanks

ok - the word 'all' is relative here :) i have an older 36" tube with Component IN and i'd like to enable 480p, but hesitate to because my new DVD player says "if your aren't sure if your TV can display progressive scan output, leave the setting as Interlaced" i have a Panasonic CT-36D20...

i'm in a similar situation sizewise... but i do have a Sony SA-WM40 sub, and trust me - ANY sub helps! but i'm also looking to upgrade to the PB10-ISD why? fits my pricerange fits my size-range ;) i'm a bang-for-the-buck kinda guy :D best of luck!!!

thanks guys! the room i have right now is large 16x24 and 18ft vaulted ceilings - hardly an easy fill for most subs considering it's pretty much 'open' to the rest of the house - with open walls on the first floor - i'd assume it's over 3000+ cu/ft of space... so until i get another house...

I've notice that here on HTF most folks tend to run with the SVS subs and if you visit AVSForum they tend to push the HSU Research subs... I've heard the HSU VTF-2 - AMAZING sub for $499 - but now i see this SVS PB10 and i'm wondering if it's a better deal? i'm not huge on comparing specs...
