The setting for each go to 100. Contrast is set at 50, brightness at 40. ON the half white, half black screen, both bars become invisible. On the other brightness setup where you have the black bars and the grey scale the right bar becomes visible, a dark gray. Could my contrast still be too high?
Try the Polk PSW-350. Its budget, but its not bad. I enjoy mine. Look around, i am sure you can find one for 200. Does not distort like most cheapo subs. Stay away from Radio Shack RCA subs , Aiwas, and that nice 30 dollar plastic sub i see at best buy.
