You forgot Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which is a wonderful transfer. The most disappointing BD in my collection is the Scandinavian edition of Pulp Fiction. Heavy DNR on that one. I hope the upcoming U.S. release is much better.

Mulholland Drive is region B locked.

I received this today but haven't really had time to watch it yet. The aspect ratio is 1.66:1 and it contains a DTS-HD MA track. The extras are the same as the previous 2-disc dvd version (the trailer is in HD) and it wouldn't surprise me if the transfer is from the same source as the dvd.

It works fine on my Oppo 83. I'm using the latest regular firmware.

The scene with the beast' howl sounds different between the two versions. The stuttering is in both versions. It was fixed on the old dvd, iirc.

I just checked a couple of scenes from the BD and it appears that the theatrical version is indeed the theatrical version.

I don't know. If the producers can't deal with the results, they should change the voting system. I think the fact that the viewers get to decide the winner without the judges involment, is part of what have made Idol so popular.

I see your point, but honestly, I don't think it really matters who wins it. Chris Daughtry has sold more cd's than Taylor Hicks and if the contestants are talented enough, they will get a record deal anyway.

Ethan, I think Episode 7 "The Perfect Mom" is cut. Jim gets a new keyboard but there is no mention of this until very late in the episode. I haven't watched it in quite a while and I could be wrong.

Great list! I have only watched a few episodes: Surf City, Mony Mony and In the Mood are replaced. It's My Party is included.

The old dvd has the 1998 remix only.

I think the new transfer looks great and the extras are quite good. The only negative thing is that the old remix is used again. I think it sounds a bit drier than the old dvd but I could be imagining things, however it is definately the same mix.
