My hope for the blu of Vertigo concerns 2 things: 1) that they fix the mistake with the color in the opening shots. 2) that they include the original mono audio track (even if it is from a 4th or 5th gen source like the Masterpiece Collection boxset). If Universal can get those 2 things...
So it seems that the UK will get Season 4 COMPLETE on September 14th 2009 (according to amazon uk) so when oh when is Season 4 Vol 2 going to be released in Region 1?
This is SO frustrating! I'm in the UK and have purchased the US releases online up to now as they have been released so far...
Even more annoying is that other dvd regions are getting complete season sets, although R2 and R4 are only up to Season 3 so are still behind R1 but only just.
I buy A LOT of Paramount product from the US because for some reason Paramount likes to treat the UK market with utter contempt (leaving out all extras, etc.). I buy every Dynasty, Melrose Place, Rawhide, Perry Mason, etc. release as soon as they are available from Region 1 because I want to...
Of course if they miraculously include the uncut episodes (from the first 4 seasons) in the mega box then there would be a reason for hardcore fans to purchase without hesitation.
Brilliant that the whole series will finally be available but it sucks that the only people who will buy it are those who bought the previous sets, you know, the very people who would've bought the remaining individual seasons in a heartbeat anyway! Nice one Fox! *slap* Gotta be thrilled that...
I've decided I don't mind the volumes releases so much, just as long as they keep 'em coming! It also means we get twice as many fab cover photos! (hey, it's a small plus I didn't consider before)!
Yup, those for me too. Compact and uniform = perfect. Dynasty Season 2 is the example I always use; a six disc set in ONE regular sized amaray case with no overlapping discs. Genius! :emoji_thumbsup:
Did anyone else not get the envelope with recipe cards inside their Brothers & Sisters Season 2 set? I only just bought it, was it a limited thing only in the first x copies or something? Also was there meant to be any other inserts like an episode guide for instance? Mine just had a flyer for...
Melrose Place DVD news: Announcement for Melrose Place - The 5th Season, Volume 1 | TVShowsOnDVD.com At least it's on the way at last but bloody f****** hell WHY the split season crap at this stage? UNNNNNNNNNNAAAARARRARRARRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! I think someone at Paramount Home...
...and the rest as we know is delicious tv history! :D My hope for future Dynasty releases is that Paramount brings out the season volumes no more than 3 months apart (I know it was only 4 months this time but still). They'll be guaranteed my $ if they do that! I'm guessing there's no way...
I wish Buena Vista (or whoever it is now) would re-issue shows like Felicity and Popular in smaller packaging (using thinpaks) at a cheaper price. They are both series I'd like to get but they are never discounted and are just too expensive, still! When studios like Warner manage to get seven...
The UK set was released this week and it has all 13 'Missing Pieces' mobisodes on disc 6 but their inclusion is not listed anywhere on the outer or inner packaging! Having been included in the UK set they will almost certainly be on the US release (I was really worried that they would only...
My big hope is for Sony to release Huff Season 2 but as it's been so long I doubt it's every going to come now. :frowning: Also I want more Melrose Place - what's going on with this? I need more seasons!!!!!!!
So it's released tomorrow but has anyone seen the 'Zippo lighter' packaging up close yet? What's it like? How are the discs held? Are they going to be protected or does the fancy packaging simply look great whilst being disc unfriendly? (which is something I detest - like with the new '24 Season...
I'm pleased they've annouced the release of Season 3 Vol 2 but I still won't be buying Season 3 at all until the whole season is released and available. From reading this and various other threads dedicated to CBS DVD / Paramount tv product it would really appear that whoever is in charge of...
Does anyone have the new Sony widescreen release of the fifth season and can you confirm that the finale episode is the full length version as it was on Fox's 4:3 release? (In UK R2 Sony released it with the episode heavily edited "due to the unavailability of French and Italian dubs for the 90...
