    Outdoor HT

Update: So I found a refurbished x1 and bought a HTiB. I decided that I would make the HT in my garage and sometimes when I would like to see a outside "on" my garage, I could just bring the stuff out. Now my question is this. Do I put up the projector first and then see how big the image...

    Outdoor HT

Jack, I'm asking for advice on all aspects of the project. Whether or not the HTiB would work outside, whether a concrete wall would be good enough to project on, etc. All advice is greatly appreciated! -Ramon

Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a while, but I knew where to come when I needed some good advice. Here it goes. I havea detached garage that has a white concrete wall on one side that faces in my yard. I was thinking of buying a projector, namely the X2, and projecting it onto my garage for...

    *** Official SPIDER-MAN 2 Review Thread

Great movie, still think they should've gotten a different actress for MJ. At one point they were considering Alicia Witt. A true redhead and a gorgeous one at that. These movies would have made her a star. Instead we get Dunst. Blah...she is just so unattractive to me. My wife actually agreed...

Still haven't begun, but I have a few other questions. I'm about to start(well I was about to start) laying downthe Dri-Core, but then I noticed that the floor is uneven in some places. Should I buy leveling concrete and lat it down or just use the levelers that come with the dri-core? also...

    Steel Studs

Hey guys, thanks for all of the responses. I have decided to use steel just because of the easiness, cleanliness, and the fact that although it will have a modest HT in it, it won't be an HT only room. This meaning that I won't be doing eveything to the T to make it audibly perfect. The wife...

Projector that is good with ambient light???

Hey, My wife and I will start building our HT within a month. We are leaning towards a projector, but because she hates being in total darkness, we need something that can work with a little bit of ambient light. Our budget is 2000. Any recommendations? On a sidenote, rainbows or...

    Basement floor...what to do?

Hey, I was wondering if I need to put down a subfloor on my concrete basement floor in order to put down carpet. I think I might because I have old drainage grooves cut into the floor. Unless I fill them in. Thoughts? Ramon

    My HT....NOT to happen?!?!?

Hey Guys, I was overlooking the dimensions of the basement that I plan to convert to a HT/Family Room. The wall distance isn't a problem. It's the height. The bottom of the exposed joists to the basement floor is about 7 feet. Aren't there code restrictions that say you have to have at least...
