Question about not blowing your speakers.

As long as the output of your Denon is less than or equal to 225W RMS then the speakers will be just fine. Jason Pannell

Signal degradation w/RCA to BNC adaptors?

I think you wouuld be better off reterminating the cables yourself, with BNC connectors than to use a Ratshack adaptor. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, you could probably find someone in your area to do this or if you want to cover the shipping, I could do it for you. Jason Pannell

    Tactile Transducers

Thank you Bill. I am planning on making a pair of these in the near future. I have another question for you however. In your diagram the weight is sitting above the edge of the basket, how did you mount this to a surface? Thanks, Jason Pannell

    Tactile Transducers

Bill, when you say that you used a bolt as a connection between the dust cap and the strap, how exactly did you do this. Did you run a bolt from the middle of the strap to just above the dust cap and then epoxy this together? Thanks, Jason Pannell

    AVA250 Subwoofer Plate Amplifier

If you hook up two 4 Ohm speakers in series, the power dissapated by both will be half of the total power output of the amp. However 2 4 Ohm speakers in series has a total resistance of 8 Ohms, therefore with that amplifier each speaker will get approx. 90W, because the amp puts out 180W into an...

    Sonotube Damping

Would it be acceptable to use a spray bedliner material to damp the inside of an sonosub, instead of the traditional batting. Is it absolutely neccesary to damp the inside of the tube or is this critical only with the taller versions. Thanks, Jason Pannell

    Sontube Volume Compensation

I was trying some numbers out in WinISD beta last night and I think I have decided on a volume of 325 Litres and will tune to approximately 19.5 Hz, so I will probably have to go with the 24" tube or else the thing will just be to tall. Do these numbers seem reasonable for use with a tempest...

    Sontube Volume Compensation

I am still considering everything as far as sonotube diameter. I have not made any real decisions yet but I hope to have my plans finalized by the end of the week. I am leaning towards the 24" sonotube because the volume I am shooting for is 10ft^3, and the sonotube that you have left Dustin...

    Sontube Volume Compensation

I have been working on 1:1 scale layout tonight and I may have a bit of a problem with the use of a 6" port. with the 14" hole for the tempest and a 6" hole for the port, the amount of material that will be left on the side of the plug will be approx 1.25, and this will probably be smaller once...

    Sontube Volume Compensation

Where did you pick up the 6" tube in town. Every place that I have checked only has 4" as their largest size. I have not gotten a hold of centennial yet. I initially was using a 6" in the design but changed it to 4". Thanks, Jason Pannell

    Sontube Volume Compensation

I am in the design stage of a tempest sonotube sub and I have a few questions about the box volume. I have decided to use a box volume of 283.5L with two 4 inch ports each 37cm long. Do I need to compensate the tube volume for the area that the pors will take up, and what about the volume that...
