Actually, the "deluxe or nothing" would be the excuse I need to splurge. :D
If you are a Barnes and Noble member and have a MasterCard there is a 50 % coupon code P7N6J9K. Takes alot of the sting out of the deluxe price.
Long time Bond fan (Saw YOLT 1st run) but I didn't get it....I think you could have given the character any name and it would have been the usual "slam-bang" action flick ie: Mission Impossible. As far as a "reboot" or re-introduction to the character of Bond why do we have the same M as his...
Now I know why I lurk instead of post.... Sorry if I offended you Joe or any other cover aficionados. I have a large collection of framed posters that I rotate from time to time for aesthetic appreciation so I know what you mean.
If this is a real announcement/release then bring it on ! No extras ?? What no 50 year old trailers that are probably beat to crap ? $30 MSRP means $20-$25 preorder or release date prices. Kudos if this is legit. edit- When was the last time you watched the cover art ?
[Odd note - in the WWW cartoon credit sequence, when the central figure (Jim West) kisses the woman, who then draws out a knife, I seem to remember when I first saw the show on TV, that Jim actually punches her. But in these episodes, that doesn't happen. Instead she swoons after the kiss...
This just in from WB chat- " We can confirm that Warner does own the rights to MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E and we hope to release it in the future however it won't be in 2006. DONE " "Ronald Epstein> Warner, just want to clarify something. You state MAN FROM UNCLE will not be available in 2006. I am...
The Digital Bits posted this today http://digitalbits.com/#mytwocents Does this mean the rights issues were resolved or are they just reporting the "release" late ?
Tom W. and others, Regarding timesped episodes etc. my edited copies from American Life end up w/ running time of between 47 and 48 mins each. I haven't noticed any glaring cuts by the network for the first 50 episodes. I believe the Second season premier episode, a two parter called Alexander...
I'm almost half way through burning these from American Life network which runs the show on Wed nights. Last weeks episode was the 2nd part of Bridge Of Lions Affair. My guess is season sets will be available once I have between 75 and 80 % burned.
I have the original box set as well as several double features(mainly The Mummy movies). I'll spring for the Dracula set for Daughter,Son and House of. Pass on The Wolf Man ( Never liked London or She-Wolf ) Bring on The Creature and Invisible Man sets to fill out the series !!
My Amazon preorder shows estimated shipping 10/6. The site itself shows 3-4 weeks before it ships ? Could there have been that much of a demand for this set ? If so hopefully Warners will keep up the pace with future 2 disc editions ! Any suggestions for future titles ?
I recall reading that the season sets would be released in early 2004. Then some sites had to remove them from pre-order status. Anyone have info ? Perhaps Ron can ask Fox when he visits ?
Same situation here, Scott. I think I read in a review that the site wasn't going "live" until street date. I'm going to try again in a couple days and see what happens.
While we are at it how about having "The Incredible World Of James Bond" included on the Thunderball re-release. I understand it was included on the LD box set but it isn't on the Special Edition DVD .
I missed the Today show interview but I did call Buena Vista today. There is not a definite date but it is scheduled for Spring/Summer 2002. I requested Buena Vista email me when there is a concrete date set for release and
also suggested they log on to HTF and let us all know.
As a new DishNetwork user I have a few questions.
Does this mean the "local" options will be ruled out in 2002 ?Do the local network affiliates have to request the dish company carry the signal ? I have an external antenna but the distant networks (50 miles away ) are crappy reception. Can...
I purchased mine online for just over $20. I'd name the store but don't want to sound like an advertisement. I admit $29.99 is steep for MSRP but with all of our online resources who pays full retail anymore anyway ?
Bump
I haven't returned it as I purchased it online. No guarantee I would get just "the booklet". Does anyone have a phone # for Paramount ? Emails are just getting the standard auto-reply
Anybody else notice a problem with Son of Frankenstein and Frankenstein meets The Wolf Man ??? The cover art and DVD art are out of chronological order. Any "homemade" covers available ?
