I also have a Hitachi. If I have a prog DVD player that can do 3:2 pulldown, should I make sure and never use the "movie" mode on my TV...to avoid unneeded D/A/D conversions and extra signal processing?

I am in the same situation. Does anybody know any good reason to wait til the new HD receivers are released? I've heard new ones to be out in July/August.

I just bought a 57TWX20B and the salesman urged me to get the current year because he said several Hitachi model lines were going to be downgraded next year. I took it to be salesman talk, I had my mind made up on the set I wanted. I didn't want to wait 4 monthes for next year's anyway.

I have some questions about the 16 X 9 enhancement mode. I know you have to go to the setup menu and change it. Is it for anamorphic DVDs only? Do you set your DVD player to 16 X 9 mode too? Then do you switch both the TV and the DVD player back to 4:3 for all other media? ------------------
