How did you get the suspended ceiling joists above the HAVC duct in the room? And did you not have anything running perpendicular to your suspended joists that would block their installation? I understand the reasoning for doing it that way, but can't begin to see how someone could do that...
Hello Chris! Nice to see you again! Along with your entire project, I'm especially looking forward to seeing how your entryway turns out! Good luck and thanks for posting your progress. Ace
I ordered a BD80 from Amazon yesterday for $319 and will be attaching it to a panasonic TH-50PZ85U. Will have to let you all know next week how she behaves...
Burke, I find it nearly impossible to make any judgement on how a speaker will sound in my own theater when I'm hearing it in a store. You just don't know how many punks have run the speaker past it's limits already. Plus, room dementions, amp/receiver settings... I've never heard of a place...
It's been a while (about 6 years) since I've been in the subwoofer market, but now that my trusty JBL PB12 has conked out I am back in the hunt. It looks like SVS is still popular and their website looks promising. Is SVS still considered to be the best (or near best) for quality, performance...
Can an "HD ready" monitor display HD from the XBox 360 or is an external tuner required? I've read conflicting information on that. Thanks in advance. Ace
Has anyone experienced disc errors with this movie? Some places in the movie do not read correctly and become jumbled. It seems to be in the same places each time...
I wish there was more mountain-climbing movies. Hopefully this genre grows in the years to come. I am particularly fond of K2. Great views, great story and a terrific "music" movie as well. Touching the Void is incredible! If you haven't seen this yet, go get this movie today! Wow! I'll...
I used 2x8's topped with 3/4" cdx plywood. I also built a platform for my 50" Toshiba widescreen to sit on. That platform is approximately 12" high. It works great. If I had the space in my HT, I would make the riser for the couch about 4" higher and add a wide step. Good luck!

Don't know if this word has been brought up yet or not.
I know quite a few people who pronounce wrestling as "wrastling." I saw him wrastle. Drives me nuts.

I'll be patient and bring it up to him sometime. I like that idea about spraypainting a line and say "I'm marking out for sprinklers." Good idea! I don't think I'll do that, though. This is what neighbors have to endure with each other. I'll be a nice guy about it. Thanks for the suggestions...

I think that it's not a big enough deal to point it out special to him. We talk to them often, so we're not afraid of communicating. I just don't want to come off as anal about it either. The thing is, his lawn is mowed twice per week at a very low setting. I like to keep mine higher. So, his...
