Hi Bryan,
Regarding the Rocky II pitch issue on the Eng 5.1 & 2.0- is there a particular scene or sequence where this is particularly noticeable when comparing between old Blu-ray and current UHD? Thanks.
Hi. I've had the LG BP-550 for a little while now and until recently, I've never had a reason to ever set up the internet connection on it. I needed to, in order to watch youtube videos to fix a sync issue, which I've taken care of. Now, I don't use this as a streaming player, and am not signed...
Any recommendations for blu ray or DVD clips or scenes? The youtube video will work for my TV and my streaming devices like Roku, but not for my physical disc player which has no wifi capability.
I recently purchased a Denon AVR-X1600H. I previously had a 1906 which had no HDMI inputs, etc. so I thought it was time for an upgrade. The problem is nothing looks in sync to me. I'm using high-speed HDMI cables and eventually gave up and have nearly all my devices plugged into the TV and am...
In addition to the freeze, I did notice an odd flicker once in awhile. This morning I spot checked the bad spot and it played without issue, then I saw the flicker, jumped back to go frame by frame and it didn't repeat. Definitely something odd with Sony's player, methinks.
Thanks Jeff & co.
I wasn't aware there were over a hundred 4K discs, but glad some people are having less problems.
Yes, the firmware is up to date and I've rest to factory settings which was Sony's big idea of a fix. It did nothing. I have no problems at all running regular blu rays or DVDs...
Watched this tonight and the 4K Blu ray looked phenomenal, but this is the third 4K disc I've watched and both completely froze up during playback. In Tenet it was at the 1hr52min mark and completely locked up and would not play forward. I was able to jump back a chapter and moved ahead to the...
The new clips look phenomenal, David. Kudos for all your hard work and sacrifice. It's quite an upgrade.
Any chance the Blu-ray will have the Norwegian audio track?
There's no real puzzle, in regard to continuity- it's not the kind of restoration that would be assembled from trims and outs or unedited raw footage. A 35mm picture element exists of the completely finished longer cut, with all the additional scenes and extensions in the order they are...
I second the vote- the Legend copies of The Killer Shrews/The Giant Gila Monster are gorgeous.
Thanks for the heads-up on Killers from Space. Probably the best copy yet released.
Apparently, there's an over 1,000 page book on the making of The Alamo from Bear Manor Media. Anyone read it?

I acquired my Denon receiver just when HDMI hit, so I can't connect HDMI to it. I find the display a bit limited and the lack of ability to play TrueHD and other lossless tracks a disappointment. Looking to graduate to something cutting edge and I love the Atmos technology.
I wonder if Warners still has the 35mm print of the roadshow cut. If not, perhaps it's in the hands of the same collector who has the A Star is Born roadshow prints. That could be one of the reasons it's a non-starter...
Two of your dreams have come true, I'm happy to report.
KILLDOZER is out on a Universal burn-on demand DVD. Hop over to Amazon via the HTF friendly links elsewhere and voila!
Very interesting- that youtube clip certainly sounds like genuine stereo.
While released in mono in the states, clearly it had a stereo release internationally.
I stand corrected.
METEOR was never released in 4-track MAG or Dolby Stereo- it was a mono release all the way. Mono is the original mix and the way it's supposed to sound.
The laserdisc claims stereo, but I haven't listened to it in years. It could easily be a misprint. If not, it's a faux upmix.
Not...
