I bought the DVD because of all the highly-recommended reviews. I was disappointed. I didn't like it. I was bored to death. I guess this is not my type of movie.
The latest movie of Zhang YiMou is "Hero". It has just been nominated for Oscar's Best Foreign Picture. It is the most beautiful and artistic movie I have ever seen. No DVD out yet. Don't know if it is released in US yet. Another is "Infernal Affairs" from Hong Kong. DVD just came out this...
By genre, then alphabetical within each genre. I only have few genres to simplify classification: "Science-Fiction-Fantasy", "Action-Thrillers", "Drama-Comedy", "Musical", "Classic" and finally "New Purchases - not yet viewed".
I have no problem with bilingual covers. The world is multi-lingual anyway. What's wrong with bilingual covers? If the disc is multi-lingual, the covers being multi-lingual is fine.
I like to see the incorporation of Sound Track with complete music/songs in a separate DVD... if they can add some kind of video to the music to make it music-video-like, even better. I usually like some songs or music in a movie, but too lazy to go buy the sound track CD. By incorporating...
I think before we purchase the DVD, we should look at the cover to see what features are there. In the case of Collateral Damage, the backcover clearly says there is Audio Commentary by Director Andrew Davis. We should not rely too much on the announcements made months ago before release...

I bought a lot of DVDs, including movies which I dislike...
Apart from altering the movie from its original theaterical release, this omission of Chapter stops is another proof that this guy Lynch doesn't give a s**t about his DVD consumers. I'm glad I boycott this DVD. The movie itself is an incomprenhensible messed-up salad of garbage anyway.
The transfer is excellent. Sound is excellent too. The film is also very good. It is historical accurate down to the details of costume, hair style, weapons used, etc. The director did a lot of research on the history by going thru the French archives. Much much better than the other US...
