First post here in a while. FOX Sports on MSN - COLLEGE FOOTBALL - Reports: Fulmer won't return to Vols next year I figure it's part terrible offense part terrible recruiting.
I haven't said much of anything in the Movies section in forever. HI CHUCK HI TIM! Anywho, just wanted to say that TDK has pretty much raised the bar on what I want to expect from popular entertainment movies from now on. I saw The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor recently. Yep, big...
I'm really liking biking so far. I've kept my left gear on 2,and I've just been shifting the right one mostly. Round Trip is about 8 miles. Never commuted before otherwise.
After two years of pondering, I finally got a bike. It's a Trek 7000. Here's what I can't figure out: what's with two sets of gear shifting? I sort of understand the gear shift on the right (I change it depending on pedalling), but I can't for the life of me figure out what the gear shift on the...
Not something you could add to a song list or anything, but you might want to check out Alice In Chain's cover of "Curtains" by Elton John. I've only found it on YouTube though.
I purchased one recently for $150 bucks. I like it, but it's not running through phono on my receiver. Does that make a difference? I use the white and red RCA outputs right now.
I know I've asked this question before, but I seriously don't remember the answer. But when it comes to sound quality and fidelity, is the absolute best source the master tapes? Would they beat any vinyl, CD, SACD, etc hands down? Just curious. :)
So...anybody heard anything about album remasters? You figure in this age of double-dipping somebody would've come up with the idea of remastering the albums or rereleasing them in deluxe editions (e.g. stereo and mono mixes).
Having gone through my first year of medical school, I've got to say that Huntington's is one of the worst death sentences you can possibly have. We got to see neurology videos comparing Huntington's with Parkinson's. Not a pretty sight. Anywho, wanted to chime in and say I liked the last two...
All I can say is that I have no idea what the hell they're saying. :) I can't remember what it's called, but I got some 2CD set as my first Sigur Ros. Really liked it. Anybody care to comment if I'll like the new CD?
Let's see:
Playstation 3 80GB (Hooked up with HDMI)
Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH
Acousic Research HC6 Speakers
So far, I've been impressed with Tommy, Madman Across The Water, and Captain Fantastic and the Dirt Brown Cowboy. The Dylan's are a little disappointing.
Yeah, I've been visiting this forum on and off over the past few years, and it never fails one of my favorite subjects has come up. :) Where the hell have I been? Oh yeah, school. :)
BTW, I have to watch this Star Wars Revisited. :)
I had reasonable to low expectations for The Happening, and they still weren't met even when I paid an early bird special of $4.50 to see it. I told a classmate of mine if I didn't like The Happenin, it would be the last Shyamalan movie I would have any desire to watch. Otherwise, I'm going to...
Not counting the Avatar movie, Shyamalan is going to have a hard time looking for work after this one. At least Uwe Boll has a government funding his movies.
I'm not surprised at the dessert comment. I love to cook, but dessert seems to be the last thing on my mind when it comes to food. I'm very very glad that Lisa didn't win. :)
