disappointed that Sony keeps tracking PIP tracks. The standard DVD includes a video commentary (Just like the one that was dropped when Jerry Maguire moved from DVD to Blu-ray)... no excuse for this when Blu-ray can handle dual video streams with ease.. It smacks of pure laziness....
I sure hope this comes to fruition. I can't believe there hasn't been opportunities over the past 10 years...jeez...Cameron had time to make cameos on Entourage..can't he find some time to approve new transfers of his films?!
sounds wonderful.. I sure wish they would include a feature about the Disneyland attraction...I really enjoyed that aspect of the Nightmare, Pirates, Sleeping Beauty and Little Mermaid releases....
yeah..we've only been waiting a decade for proper versions of The Abyss and True Lies. He's got time to cameo on Entourage, you think he'd spend a few hours to review the master and make sure the best possible versions of his films can be seen by his fans..
According to various rumors around the net, there are new versions of T2 coming in May (including a Endo-Skull version)...I sure hope you and JC are involved...
When I upgrade, I prefer to give my old dvd's to someone else or get rid of them all together.
So...I'd like to see all the supplements from the Ultimate and Extreme edition included on the new BD. Extras are important to me, especially for films that are all time classics and deserve it...
It looks like Panic Room is coming to the UK in April (to coincide with Benjamin Button on BD?).. I would imagine that Sony will release it in the U.S. as well. Can you find out more and make sure we get all the content from the 3 dvd version? thanks!
according to the insert in the new Transformers BD, Zodiac is coming to Blu-Ray before the end of the year.
With the extra space of BD, any chance we could see the remaining supplements that were dropped from the HD-DVD and standard DVD releases?
thanks
Van. What's the hold up with Jim? We've been waiting years for an anamorphic version. Can't we tie him down for a few hours to give the transfer his blessing?
This is my favorite movie of all time (yes, it really is!)...I need to see this done right on BD and soon!
thanks
Hi David. Just wondering if you've had new talks with Sony to bring your excellent Panic Room DVD set over to BD. Many are anxiously awaiting its arrival. thanks
yeah, I guess I just look at the EEs as the definitive version in terms of the making of the films. It just makes sense to me to include the marketing of the films (trailers, posters, tv spots)on there somewhere..oh well..
Why weren't trailers, tv spots and theatrical posters included on the extended versions? I understand that they didn't want to duplicate features, but it seems silly to leave this off if these are truly the definitive versions of the films on dvd. thanks
I've got a brand new Toshiba 44NHM84 DLP HDTV. I also bought a Toshiba SD-5970 HDMI DVD Player with the Monster HMDI connection. I think everything is set right, but I'm not tickled with the picture. I see much pixelation/dot crawl and I can't seem to get rid of it. I have some questions...
Both Hollywood video and Blockbuster had previously viewed copies of the first to HP films and they came in amaray double cases including warner produced cover art to match. They match exactly with the latest release so I'm happy
I will only be living in my current house for a short time and wondered if there is any wireless rear speakers out available. I don't want to have to wire through the attic and hoped there was an alternative.
I would be extremely happy if New Line licensed Menace II Society to Criterion. Their LD of The Hughes Brothers first film was great. I'd love to retire that.
