I could easily pass on CHUD II: Bud The CHUD as I have heard nothing but terrible things about how awful it is. But can my OCD brain stand a break in the numbered sequence? Lionsgate certainly knows what they are doing in that regard. Thank heaven Scream Factory didn't do go that route. For me...
I saw Bad Moon for the first time over the weekend and enjoyed it very much. The image looked terrific, and Michael Pare and Thor were great. I thought the werewolf seemed costumey, but the facial expressions were a nice touch. In the extras, the filmmakers thought they did a great job on the...
Any idea if any more BNTROPICAL/BNSPARKLER type codes may be coming? Even the 20% off single item codes aren't working. But the titles I want are all back in stock now, so I don't want to be greedy. Thanks.
I had Phantom Carriage (Korkarlen) in my shopping bag but it is now OOS. This is driving me crazy. I need a certain number of titles in my bag to use a good coupon code, but I can never get them all in stock at the same time.
I'm seeing Airport 1975 tomorrow night on the big screen at the Heights Theater (Twin Cities, MN). It's part of their "Great Comedies of the 1970's" series :-)
From a comment Shout made on their Scream Factory Facebook page:
Sorry no new transfer but we have taken MGM’s transfer of the film and have spent time removing thousands of instances of dirt and debris from the master, making it a cleaner picture and best video presentation to date.
Thanks for the great review--I love this movie! Just watched my copy the other day. Still going through the extras. Twilight Time and Sony did a fantastic job with this release. Can't wait for Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Just one note. The quote you attribute to Grace Evans was actually...
I only keep them for my Scream Factory collector's edition films. That way you can display both the original art (on the reversible sleeve of the blu-ray case) and the new art on the slipcover. For others, it's the recycling bin.
Ah, I love this movie (even with the unfortunate casting of Scott Baio). Cherie Currie from the Runaways was so cool. I remember the audience gasping when her character said she was just 16 (I think Cherie was actually around 20). Jodie and Sally Kellerman were great together as...

I also loved The Commodores performing Too Hot To Trot for the big dance contest. After Floyd finally arrived with their instruments. So many genuinely funny moments. Great soundtrack--Casablanca records in their heyday.
Thanks for the list. Maude tops my list (way at the top), followed by One Day at a Time and Mary Hartman. I already forgot about Head of the Class. That was a good one! Wish they would finish off the Bob Newhart Show and Designing Women (at least the final Delta Burke/Jean Smart season)...
Have had only one blu-ray that wouldn't play (Get Smart) even though I was on the latest and greatest post Bond collection firmware release. My problem has been more with long wait times on blu-ray new releases. I get them to the top of my queue for release but most of them are "Very Long...
I went with the standard cherry finish that they had on the displays. I like cherry anyway so it wasn't worth it to me to pay extra for a different finish. To power them, I have a Marantz MM9000 Amplifier and a Marantz AV9000 Pre-Amp. I bought them three years ago and have been very happy with...
I have the S4s on order...should arrive this week or next. I don't consider myself a true "audiophile," but they sounded quite beautiful to my ears. I'm upgrading from Boston Acoustics CR7s which will become my surrounds. I also upgraded to the PW-2200 sub and a Reference center channel (I...
Well reviewed...too bad you had to watch both of them though. Just want to echo the comments about what a great novel "Watchers" is and also ask has anyone seen Watchers 3? I see it came out in 1994 and just hit DVD, though I never heard of it. I expect it's more of the same but would like to...
I assume you are looking for concept videos like they played on MTV (as opposed to concert videos). I bought a couple music video compiliations on DVD at DVD Empire. They seem to be mostly 80s videos, although some are from the 90s. Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran are on a couple of them. Do a...
Garbage Pail Kids are more common and in less demand, but if you have any from the first few series they are worth more. Wacky Packages have become very collectible, especially over the last 5-6 years. Some of them are pretty valuable, depending on their condition, especially the first few...
