The special features from the Artisan set and Season 2 were pretty awful and didn't even have the cast and crew talking about Twin Peaks for a majority of the interviews. The documentary done for FWWM which was done by the same company was even worse. I felt the extras on the Gold Box were...
With this year being the 20 year Aniversary, it is a shame that there hasn't been an announcement as of yet. Wonder what happened to Warner Bros. putting this one out. Also saw that the first 3 screenings for the 20th Anniversary in New York are sold out...
Saw this article today and couldn't believe my eyes. http://dugpa.com/2011/01/22/lynch-finds-blue-velvet-deleted-scenes-for-upcoming-blue-velvet-blu-ray/ Blue Velvet on Blu-ray with a new 5.1 mix and Deleted Scenes??? Now that is what I call awesome.
That's probably it. I noticed the quality on these sets seem to be going down as the sets come out. The latest one is compressed to 30 Episodes across 3 Double sided discs and no extras like the earlier sets. The PQ also seems to be suffering. I guess they figure if we've come this far, we'll...
Can anyone confirm if it is just my set or if the new Season 11 box set is missing an Episode or has some severe cuts? Between Episode 25 (Never Say Never) and Episode 26 (Last of the Good Guys) it seems that the "previously on Dallas" segment shows scenes that were either cut from the prior...
I too can see why some of the scenes were cut, however, there were a few that realy stand out such as the Buenos Aires David Bowie scene, or even the fight scene with Desmond and Cable which would have given closure to both of those storylines.
I read the Dugpa script analysis which was a great...
I'm more interested to know why Sherilyn Fenn didn't get written into the film. True, the film was about the last 7 days of Laura Palmer, but Sherilyn was such a prominent character in the Series.
I think she was the only major cast member from the Series that didn't make it to the film in...
Well, just passing on what I was told. It sounds more plausible than refusing to do a film due to a nude scene since Boyle had appeared nude in other movies. Mobsters and Threesome come to mind which were released in the early 90's right around that time.
Popular theory is that Lara Flynn Boyle was committed to Wayne's World at the time and had objections to the nude scenes.... however... having attended the annual Twin Peaks Festivals, the cast members that speak about it publicly say that it was due to a recent breakup with then boyfriend Kyle...
Would it ever! A few years ago I had put up a petition site to try and get the cut scenes released. I can't believe that almost 11,000 people signed it. (Proof that I'm not the only psycho that wants to see these things!)
Worldwide Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Deleted Scenes on DVD -...
I was very happy to read from the chat that Warner Bros. plans on putting out Twin Peaks: FWWM on Blu-ray.
I really hope that they do a remix on the sound or at least include the original audio as the New Line audio mix was such a disappointment.
I also wonder if this will be the one to...
Here's an article that covers some details on the Twin Peaks Series restoration: Dugpa.com - A David Lynch and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - Resource Site As for Fire Walk With Me Deleted Scenes, Lynch had this to say in a November 2008 interview: David Lynch: That, you know Twin...
Thanks Adam. Excellent review! Feeling glad that I decided to pick this one up. Now if only Amazon would start shipping. Also, I noticed on Dugpa's site that David Lynch is doing a signing over at Amoeba in Hollywood: Amoeba Music > Home
Lynch mentions the FWWM Deleted Scenes here: WNYC - ART.CULT The Lime Green Set Here is what he said (taken from a transcript snippet at Dugpa.com) Nathan Lee: You know the question that everyone asks me when I told them I was speaking to you about this material is, When is the Twin...
Looks like details are starting to leak regarding the contents of the Mystery Disc. According to an interview with Lynch and an article at Dugpa.com Lynch has found and will be releasing 120 minutes of Deleted and Extended Scenes from Wild at Heart! For this reason alone, I think I've just...
I wonder what the point is of keeping the "Mystery" Disc a Mystery. I doubt it will be Deleted Scenes, as that would be a huge selling point. Plus after the first online review, it will no longer be a mystery. Still what bothers me about this release is why even bother and re-release Wild at...
Here's some more details from dugpa.com
I don't get it why they would spend time doing a new audio mix on Blue Velvet and not add some new extras for the films in the box set. Just doesn't seem like this one is gonna sell real well...
Just saw this press release on Dugpa.com: Dugpa.com - A David Lynch and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - Resource Site Writer, director and artist David Lynch has personally selected these works, including many pieces new to DVD, and a “mystery disc” of content taken from Lynch’s own...
I can't believe this got released bare bones. What a shame. I think I'll stick with my R2 copy from MK2. The sound and picture on it blow me away are near reference quality.
Speaking of going back in time, there is a great article over at Dugpa regarding the history of Twin Peaks on home video.
Twin Peaks on Home Video
After reading the article I can say that I am glad that I never picked up the laserdiscs.
I was basing if off the Amazon.com top sellers. It was #1 on the day of its release (at around 7pm PST) beating out Transformers and Spiderman 3. Although it has dropped down since then, I have never seen a vintage TV show boxed set (one at $69.99 no less) outsell any of the new blockbuster...
Well, it's been years since there has been any news on a new Twin Peaks DVD. I wonder what the chances are now that the Twin Peaks Gold Box has been released and has apparently done so well. Does anyone think that New Line will finally go the distance and release a new Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With...
I too hope that you can get a shot at a new SE of FWWM. It is long overdue and judging from the extras on the Gold Box, you seem to be the right man for the job.
What is taking New Line so long to make this happen, I wonder?
Nice interview with Charles de Lauzirika on the TP Gold Box here:

I can't believe that they almost got to include FWWM and the freaking Deleted Scenes. Why God Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
A few people got their sets early and posted a review on the dugpa fourms:

I'm really disappointed in the news on the Deleted Scenes. It seems from the description is that the Deleted Scenes are the same ones from the bootleg DVD that has been...
I'd second that one. Seriously though, with all the hype about Twin Peaks releases this month, you would think that New Line would have joined in with a new FWWM DVD WITH Deleted Scenes.
