At my local Circuit City (in Huntington beach, CA),they have 2 LCDs set up showing the difference in quality of the picture using Monster cables and using regular cables. Both displays are playing of a feed directly from an HDDVD of Shrek. The video on the left LCD (regular cables) looked...
its only $1699.99 for the tower , or $1,999.98 for tower&bassmodule. To put it into perspective, that's about the same price as buying a top-end Marshall head w/ 4x12spkr cabinet. They have these Bose systems at alot of the Guitar Centers. Anyone demoed them yet?
Bose is coming out w/ a system for musicians, thats suppose to replace PA systems, amps, monitors, and mixers. Not w/ cubes this time, but w/ tall cylinder speakers coupled with some more of their "bass modules". This thing is meant for LIVE concerts; its an interesting approach and does...
If there's a PSB dealer in your area, id highly recommend checking out their Image 5T or 6T tower speakers. They're $559 & $650 respectively(blemish prices) through www.dmc-electronics.com. I've gone there myself to listen to the 5T with rock and r&b music and was amazed at what these midpriced...
I actually swung by DMC today on my way to work and bought those Image 2B's ive always wanted. I got the blems for $259. Theyre in great condition for blems. All ive noticed is that theres a scratch mark on the vinyl in a few areas mostly near the corners, many just a cm or two long. theres like...
If you want the PSB 2B speakers, i would get them from www.dmc-electronics.com (one of HTF's sponsers) since they are PSB authorized dealers. They also have the blems for the $259 price. I live just a few blocks from their store and I've listend to them with rock music and it sounded fantastic...
Got mine a few days ago. Its not too shabby for free, it sounds pretty good. Kindve weird listening to Aaron Neville sing "Ava Maria" though. That and the song from Swan lake are the only ones i recognize.
Unless its Meridian or some other really high end brand, chances are if you see "digital speakers" labeled anywhere on the speaker or packaging, its one of those no-name brands that dont know what theyre talking about (ie. white van brands).
Im not sure exactly, but i expect it would be in the same condition as the Yawaonline "B" stocks(minor scratches on grille or cabinet). The dealer i went to is DMC Electronics in Orange county, ca. They are an authorized PSB dealer, and they can ship to you if needed, but they dont have an...
$499 for a 4T is actually about right, may actually be a little high. If that price is for a 5T though, it would be a good deal. My local dealer sells the PSB image 4T factory blemishes for $399 and 5T blemishes for $499.
Ive been playin around w/ mine for a week and love it. Upgraded from a 35watt Aiwa. Compared to that thing, the DLS might as well be a Mercedes! I'm also goin the Aura BassShaker route using the 'defective' DLS plate amp. muwahaha! Man i love Parts Express, theyre a Budget HTer's dream!
I just got my DLS sub today and I too experienced a similar bobbling sound during prolonged bass. I noticed it when i watched Monsters Inc. where Sullivan makes the girl laugh in their apartment, and she overloads the electricity in the building. It was downright scary. For a second i thought i...
I was at a MonitorAudio/PSB dealer last time to listen to the PSB Image 2Bs . I saw the MonitorAudio Bronze B2 spkr(last years model), but the dealer didnt have it hooked it up. I notice they use near identical drivers, and i think the tweeters were identical as well(except the MonitorAudio's...
Linkin Park - Reanimation DVD-Audio. Might not be everyone's cup o tea, but damn, it has some of the most impressive use of surrounds ive ever heard in a 5.1 mix. And loads of bass as well. It goes so low, it makes my crappy lil' Aiwa subwoofer sound like its just pushing air.
Oh bytheway if you want to go the ultra compact spkrs route, definitly check out the PSB Alpha Intro's. They sport 3 1/2" woofers instead of the 2 1/2" on the HTD's.

I'm stuck in deciding between getting the PSB Image 2b & Monitor Audio bronze 2. The Monitor Audio is biwireable but the PSB is not. Should that be a factor in deciding which bookshelf to get? I noticed that the PSB Image and Monitor Audio Bronze bookshelves have identical looking drivers &...
Damn, so much talk about khz this and khz that. Lets talk logically for a second. The way i look at DVD-A is even if DVD-A quality has no noticeably better fidelity than a CD, it would have a cleaner sound anyways. My theory is that 2 speakers would have more of a burden producing clean textured...
Sounds like an awesome budget system to me. I auditioned the PSB 2B's in a larger room than yours and i was very impressed by the sound and how well it filled up the room. Be sure to include speaker stands in your budget too. You might want to audition Monitor Audio Bronze series speakers too...
Hey J. Fo, wheres your site at man? The link to it doesnt seem to work. I wanna see your HTD III set. Im thinkin about getting me a pair of Level 3 bookshelves myself.
Barry_B, I have the studio S-center right now and although it has next to no bass, speech sounds clear as day on it and very...
I need a couple bookshelf speakers for around 300. Bass isnt too important as long as it has decent upper bass, and good midrange/highs. My room is about 15x15 ft.I need something for both movies and music.
Ive been considering Paradigm Mini's and PSB Image 2b's. All also thought of NHT...
