I was at RMAF in Denver this weekend. Oppo rep said new 4K player coming out in Nov (I believe mid month).

Seems like a big fail not to use lossless audio. The other ones had lossless audio. They raised the MSRP $10 over the previous ones and it doesn't even have lossless audio. Gonna cancel my preorder I think.

Saw this in the Arclight Cinerama Dome. Visually great but definitely overrated. Not that it's a bad flick, just not "movie of the year" caliber.

I don't know but my Amazon.com preorder still shows an expected delivery date of 8-23-11. When you click on the item though you get a site error page. Weird.

I was at Best Buy today and was shocked to see B&W speakers there. They seemed very reasonably priced. They only had CM series but the CM9s are $1499.99, which seems extremely inexpensive.

I've been wanting this on DVD for years. Now with Blu Ray though I just can't bring myself to buy a movie on DVD. Guess I'll have to though because I doubt this will ever see the light of day on Blu Ray.

Yep. I wasn't going to buy this because I didn't think it was that great. At $15 I had to bite. Now I'll pass.

Just got an email that my $15 preorder was cancelled because of "insufficient stock." What BS. If it's a pricing mistake call it such. Don't say it's insufficient stock when you're still selling the item at a higher price.

Cancelled my Amazon order at $11.49. Only thing is DDD shows a release date of 10/26. What's up with that?

I got it the day it came out, only because I'm a huge Nellie McKay fan. The disc has a DD 5.1 mix and an "enhanced" resolution 48/16 stereo track. Quite disappointing because this could have sounded great it hi rez surround. The new stereo track does sound slightly better than the CD version...

Anyone order from this cdzone.co.uk place? They don't say what the wait is for an item and they won't give you an email address to ask them until after you place your order. Seems kind of fishy.

I was only concerned about the sampling rate because it seemed kind of low compared to what it could have been. But if that's the sampling rate of the original source, then that's cool (I didn't know that).

Sounds like the DVD-A might be the one to get if the sound is the same and it had extra videos. Although I have a Pioneer 563 and robertLP's post about it not playing right on his player concerns me a little. Anyone else have a Pioneer 563 and try this DVD-A?

I just picked up this disc earlier this week at BB and the last track plays fine on all the versions (hi-rez and DD 5.1 and stereo). I wonder if they quietly repressed this disc. Nothing on the packaging said anything about it being corrected.

Has anyone decided which is better for this release: SACD or DVD-A? I want to get one, but don't know which would be better. The fact that the DVD-A only has a 88.5 sampling rate concerns me.

I want to get into SACD but can't afford much for a player. This one appears to be the least expensive I've seen and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about it or any other budget SACD players? I know this isn't the right forum, but I'm getting no replies in the AV sources forum.
