P.S. you guys resonable price is way beyond my means i.e. the Creek preamp @ $199. I was thinking more along the line of the Reconton (sp) for $40.00 at Circuit City!! I'm just starting out in this thing and have to start slowly with on (4) LP in house.
Thanks
The lit on the Sure emphasis the highs. The Stanton is a bit too pricey for this budget, whereas, the shure is a better price for me, but those highs with the Klipsch?
I am interested in the Sure M97; however, having Klipsch Speakers and this cartridge excentuates the highs I wondering if this would be a good match. Good with turntable but perhaps not the best with Klipsch. What do ya think?
The only so called high end place around here is Tweeter and I boycott them because number 1) they have sales people who generally don't know what they are talking about and number 2) there pricing is outragious.
Just purchased near mint Dual 1257 on ebay and will probably need new cartridge. Grabo is out due to hum problems. This has an ultra low mass tonearm and was wondering what everyones suggestions would be for a decent relatively inexpensive cartridge. Looking for MM type becasue of preamp...
Lets say I am having a few problems with the DTS mode in my Receiver. After a few minutes into the DVD the speakers experience a crackling noise. When I pause the DVD and return to the movie it goes away for a while. Is it feasible to bypass the receivers and use the DVD's DTS. Will it present...
ALWAYS REMEMBER, the sound you hear in the show room IS NOT usually what you hear at home. I have heard many speakers in show rooms and the ones that sometimes sound good another can turn out quite the opposite at home. Klipsch has the very best mid/high clarity I've heard. IMO
Tony, IMO the size room you are using now is almost perfect for all the effects you will get from 5.1. Bigger/more expensive is not always better. Sometimes, especially with a 22' room you loose the intimacy and adventure. If you can cut your listening area in 1/2 I believe you would be...
One additional thought. A friend of mine has Digital Cable and the box they gave him doesn't not have S-Video hook so you cannot mix S-Video from TV to Receiver and component hook up from Cable to Receiver. I believe they have to be the same. The ease in use on the S-Video is what he likes...
It's my understanding that the line doubler in the Sony along with the DRC (or are they the same) does a decent job on the DirectTV stuff. If I can get near as good as I now have on my 32" Sony I will be satisfied. I'm only getting the 53" size and if I set 12 to 13 feet away, maybe the pixel...
Does anyone have any GOOD stories regarding DirectTV and the HDTVs. I have heard how bad the picture can be and I certainly can't afford NEW equipment over and above this new Sony HS10 I have purchased (not delivered yet). Unless one watches a great majority of DVD over other sources, from...
