Philips just announced their new amBX line of products... Can anyone recommend any other ambient lighting products such as these? I've always wanted to add LED lighting behind my monitor, or even within the room as in the amBX application.
Thanks Dave. In the MX-700 software, it looks like there is a listing for the Dish 6000 model. You mentioned the command set seems to be the same for the Dish 811 model. Can anyone confirm this? Thx again.
I have the Dish 811 HDTV Receiver for Dish Network, and it says the remote is "UHF". Does anyone know if the Home Theater Master MX-700 will control this unit? If not, which of the MX remotes would I need? Thx.
thanks Gary... This seems like a good solution. I did just find out that MLB.TV games are blacked-out in each team's home market, so there goes my main reason for using needing such a unit -- to watch Angels' away games which are hardly ever televised...
I'm looking to transfer video wirelessly from my PC to my Television ... Are there any wireless video products that can do this? I don't think 802.11b etc. will work, since I won't have another PC near the TV to receive and process the data. Essentially, it would output composite video from...
sorry for the post.. i'm sure it's been discussed to death but i couldn't find a straight answer searching the archives... does the 40H80 lock with a progressive signal? i'm debating between the RP82 and RP91, and would like to scale non-anamorphic discs... thanks
thanks. i guess the 501 is probably the best Dish solution out right now. plus i understand they're updating the firmware to do 10 days of programs so that will be a plus...
just got pikmin and played through days 1 and 2... it is a cool little game. i can see how some people would want to to rent it though. i might only want to play through this twice before putting it on the shelf.
BTW, Mario Kart 64 is one the best multiplayer college games ever!
just got done playing Starfighter for Xbox and graphically it is a big improvement over the PS2 version. IMO, it has much better play control than Rogue Leader for GameCube. which is too bad since the GCN controller is amazing.
i picked up a Nomad II for less than $150 and it is perfect for the gym. over an hour of music, small size, FM tuner... i think it's the best of the small, limited memory players. other than that, i'd go Nomad Jukebox or iPod...
yeah, i've been looking to get an Alienware this xmas and all i've heard is that they're "good but overpriced", which i don't get.. yes they are not cheap machines and you could definitely save money by building the exact same system yourself. but configure a similar system from Dell (or...
got my components shipped from Nintendo yesterday.. i like how they come in a package that says "Nintendo Spare Parts" as if they don't have any plans of marketing these to consumers... missing out on a huge selling point for the GameCube IMO.
anyway, i hooked the components up to my Toshiba...
there is a 'multi-console' forum on the IGN.com boards which might be helpful... i'm in the same position. now that companies are porting their games to every system, i'm not sure which way to go. since the original SSX was designed for PS2, i think Tricky should be bought for it as well.
i have the component cables coming from Nintendo but I thought it would have included the audio RCAs on it... that kinda sucks having two cables coming out of the back.
I still can't figure this out. I think I've posted regarding this before as well...
When I use the RCA cables with my PS2, I get an off-center picture (to the right about 1-2 inches on my 40H80). I've used S-Video and Component cables and they seem to work ok. I'd continue using those, but I...
i've noticed the exact same thing on my 40H80. it is usually a black line on the left side of the screen. i've also noticed that the degree of this off-centering changes when you use different inputs... haven't figured out how to fix this although with some games (like TimeSplitters), you...
