Do you really think that Columbia Tristar would release the episodes in Widescreen if it showed lighting rigs, props etc that you're NOT supposed to see? That would be a big mistake on their part, and considering that they are the professionals and the people who filmed it in the first place...
The Region 2 best-of DVD of Dawson's Creek Seasons 1 & 2 has been out for quite a while. The episodes are presented in 1:78:1 Anamorphic Widescreen. I hope that Columbia Tristar release the season 1 boxed set over here soon, hopefully our boxed set will be in the same aspect ratio of the...
All three films are brilliant, with Part 1 being my absolute favorite. None of you out there are true fans of BTTF if you only liked Part 1. So there!
Lewis.
Count me in. A fantastic film with a superb (oscar nomination worthy i think) performance by Harrison Ford. I'll definately be buying this one if/when it is released. Lewis.
Has anyone seen or got this DVD? If you have, whats the disc like? Who's the transfer? Is it anamorphic? How's the sound quality? And what's your opinion on the film? I here that Robert Downey Jr is excellent as the lead role. Thank you for your help guys and girls. Lewis.
If this is true then I am over the moon! I love Teen Wolf and have been waiting for news on this for ages.
Here's hoping the info is correct! Now will more Michael J. Fox films be coming out on DVD anytime soon? There aren't a great deal of them, and those that are aren't very good quality...
I wouldn't worry about it. Have you ever touched some of the big Parasound amps after playing them at near reference level through a set of M&K's? They get really hot, with plenty of space around them. Also, the Lexicon MC-1 runs pretty hot, but it's no real cause for concern.

I live in the United Kingdom, and we too, get our fair share of under-equipped cinema's.
There is one chain though which I am always impressed by. UCI Cinema's (which are owned by Universal and Paramount) are brilliant. I saw Lord of the Rings last week, and it was presented in SDDS (Sony...
The Green Mile (excellent overall soundfield)
American Beauty (superb for the score, DTS too!)
The Addams Family (some inventive surround use)
Forrest Gump (brilliant all round, though surrounds aren't that active)
JFK (what can i say)
Hope this helps.

I would love to see this film on DVD too!
I think it is one of the best Harrison Ford films. He should have got on Oscar nomination for his acting in this!
Or did he, I'm not sure?
Lewis.
I think everyone needs to take it easy. I also saw the picture break up on my Cyrus DVD7. It was there for a split second. But i didn't even give it a second thought. One tiny defect in what I think is a great disc.
Stop picking so many holes in things and just enjoy the movie.
Lewis.
You're M&K MX-125 MKII will handle sub bass brilliantly. You have no worries there!
You'll have no problem setting everything to small and using the M&K for all the bass. Personally myself, I would set the 602's large, and the CC6 and 601's to small.
Cheers,
Lewis.
I am exploding with excitement. It looks like our years of waiting are finally over.
YAHOO!!!!!
Lewis.
MARTY - "Jesus, you somke too?"
MARTY'S MOTHER IN 1955 - "Marty, you're beginning to sound just like my mother!"
Its up to you. The DM602's will be able to cope with being set to "large", but if you have a good enough sub to do all the bass work, you might as well run them as "small".
Do you play at extremely loud volume levels that may cause damage to the DM602's?
Hope this helps.
Lewis.
Has anyone got the DVD of Black Rain with Michael Douglas? If so, whats it like? I've heard that the transfer isn't brilliant.
Cheers guys and girls.

I also have to agree. I studied the book for my GCSE exams a couple of years ago. I loved the book and when I finally watched the film I was stunned. A great little film with superb acting all round.
I'm definately going to order this very soon!

There are so many titles I want I'll just suggest the few that are REALLY important to me.
Back to the Future . These films must have the most fantastic transfers, sound mixes and special features ever produced by a studio. We have waited long enough, don't disappoint us Universal!
Any other...
I totally agree with your review Ron! I got my disc a few weeks ago and was gobsmacked by the picture quality. Stunning! And the sound wasn't bad either, nice and clear with a good about of detail. The score by David Foster was sharp and punchy.
I have to admit to loving this movie, and...
I'm 17 and a full time student. Here's what I have got in my bedroom:
Denon AVC-A10SE THX Amp (or 4800 to you guys)
NAD 218THX 2-channel power amp (driving front speakers)
Cyrus DVD7 and PSX-R Power supply
Sony 28" Widescreen TV
Panasonic Nicam VHS
B&W 603 S2 fronts
B&W LCR6 center

I did apologise to all the people in favour of Groundhog Day in DTS. I just seems that whatever companies do, there's always someone who complains!
Lewis.
I can't believe what I have been reading in the posts above. First everyone complains that there aren't enough DTS titles. Then when a fantastic film like Groundhog Day is given a remix into DTS you all complain!
Be thankful that Columbia Tristar are giving us a Special Edition of this film...
Go for the LCR6. It's a great center speaker and much better than the CC6. A few months ago I upgraded to the LCR6 from the CC6 and found dialogue to be much richer and clearer. Bass performance is also greatly improved.
If you can, go for 603's. They are fantastic speakers for the money...
