Eryn, hopefully there is truth to the info the rep told you. I have been contemplating getting the RX-V2400 now or saving up and just waiting till about August to get the next model and a whole new speaker setup. I'll probably wait...more rewarding.
I too thought about doing the exact same thing, however, for peace of mind I decided against it. Instead found a surprisingly good looking BUSH tv stand that was 47 1/2 inches wide. Absolutely perfect and the height was 19 inches so I grabbed it. Very cheap too. Try looking in your local BB. I...
Hey Alex, My sub reaches frequencies down to 23 so I still feel everything. The only difference is now the room basses and not the floor. It's hard to explain. It's like the bass is trapped in my apartment and not being lost through the ground. Trust me, you can still feel it. When we say big...
HAH!!! Got it my friends! I went with the method Andrew suggested: Subwoofer Big ol' slab sorbothane 'nother slab Floor Amazing! The bass is still thick, punchful, and powerful yet the floor remains solid. It use to literally shake the floor on the smallest bass cues, now the room just...
I think I will go with the: Subwoofer Big ol' slab sorbothane 'nother slab Floor Sounds to me if the vibration can get through two slabs of granite or limestone I need to wait to use my sub until I get a freakin house ;) Will keep everyone posted on how it turns out. Thanks for the...
Hello, A while back it was suggested to me to use "anti-vibration" pads for my sub since I am on a 2nd floor apartment. I will eventually get a larger apartment on the first floor, however, until then I have to consider isolating the vibration for consideration of the neighbor below. I've...
Haha, was just thinking the same thing. Almost sounded like the TV meant to be delivered to the house 2 houses down, but he took it in and didn't say anything. ;)
I've heard mixed release dates concerning this new player from Samsung. Can anyone confirm a REAL release date? I've heard between April & June all the way up to Fall. If it's April and June I can wait, but Fall??? I definitely need a DVD for my Samsung DLP before then. Any info is appreciated.
For the longest time I didn't think I was going to be able to listen to my subs I have in my new 2nd floor apartment. Nothing beats a house for sure, but I had to come up with a solution until I found the right house and the lease is up. I have an entertainment computer desk that thankfully has...
Sony 51" Widescreen HD-Ready Rear-Projection TV w/ DVI Input & 2-Tuner PIP Model: KP-51WS510 Best Buy is actually running a deal right now for $1,799. I'd jump on that and snag it. Not a bad price at all.
Have you checked out the Toshiba 42" 42H83? Pretty good TV a couple hundred dollars over 1,000. Widescreen of course and it's an excellent beginning home theater TV. Will you be playing games on this TV or using it mostly for movies and cable watching? If for movies and such, then this TV is for...
Definitely. I've had my 50 inch for almost a month now and the fan is virtually silent. See what they do if you complain about the noisy fan. Chances are I bet they send a Tech out to replace it. Nothing wrong with a new, quieter lamp. Let me know what the verdict is
Maybe a line cleaner? Do those power strip line cleaners actually make that much of a difference? I know they are good to have to clean up the signal from sources, but are they necessary?
Man, I feel your pain and unfortunately you are probably not going to be able to do anything about the crack. Since you did not say anything or notice it while the repairmen were there, it's a good chance you can't make a complaint on it now. BUT, you CAN, however, take that TV back if you have...
I would do exactly what Samsung said. Especially if the pixel is noticeable while watching. Watch the picture for about a week (should be long enough) and take the TV back for another one.
With as little as you play, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Now for more than 2 hours and everyday gameplay, then no. It seems you're not playing long enough to effect anything on your TV though. Hope this helps
I have the HLN507W. Took me a bit to adjust the settings and it really depends on your eyes on how you want it adjusted. I will get my settings for regular cable when I get home tonight and post that when I get the chance if you want. My main thing I want to see this TV do is DVD's via the DVI...
HLN tend to be the later models made. Some other features may have been added...later firmware, issues fixed from HLM series. At least, that is what I have gathered from my HLN
Yeah, it should...also remember that if you're using Dynamic Mode that it splashes way to much black on the screen. Go custom and adjust from there and you will notice a great detail in the black levels. Dynamic Mode is good for the average user I think. Also, the director of the Matrix filmed...
Turn your melody mode off so you don't go through a lamp cycle when you turn the TV back on. Power the TV off Press mute, 1, 8, 2 and then power again Menu will come up and you navigate using channel up and down and volume left and right buttons. Turn the TV back off to exit menu...
Put an enourmous amount of blankets wrapped around the TV. Unless you have material that can cushion the ride. Nothing like a good set of blankets to keep the TV nice and safe ;) Hey I did it and it worked beautifully :emoji_thumbsup:
From experiences I've witnessed with friends regarding the "Service Plans", I've come to the conclusion it is just extra cash in the retailers pocket. Send in your one year warranty. I've noticed any problems you will have with the TV, if any, you'll have in the first year. Best Buy is horrible...
