In the past, Showcase starts to run the new Rescue Me series around the end of the 3rd or 4th week of August. I'm looking forwared to seeing it in HD this year.

The cost might have something to do with the relatively small distribution that Palm Pictures has ? Agreed that SMS has a higher retail than a lot of dvds but then I priced out The Kids Are Alright, of which even the cheap version is within a couple of bucks of SMS. Or perhaps they fancy...

First disc purchase was the original A Bug's Life release, the player followed a month later (Tosh 2109, replaced shortly thereafter by the 5109 due to the first not being able to play The McGarrigle Hour dvd (odd firmware issue) and now finally a Pioneer Elite H 65S, recorder w/hdd).... same...

I popped for the vinyl of "Our Endless Numbered Days".... an amazing and beautiful album. I haven't heard the ep that preceded it, but someone who has it told me it was pretty much a lo-fi affair. NP:Woman King (if I can find it here in my town)

My Kool & The Gang collection began and ended with "Wild and Peaceful" on vinyl. I didn't find much that they did after that was on a par with this album. Maybe that's just me.

Japan - Oil On Canvas ....again with a properly re-done soundtrack. The vinyl of this stomps all over the Virgin VHS release.

The set "Full Bottom" appears to have the episodes intact. At least there's more complete scenes and less editing than when it aired here on YTV in the mid-90's (possibly due to commercial considerations, although 'taste' may have played a roll) :laugh:

Nope, all Canadian disc sets have both versions in one dual-case set. And to be fair, it does say French version included, not versions ;)
