I wonder if there are french subtitles. I have no problem with subtitles in general but as a french, it's easier to read french than english. And what about the video quality ? By the way, even if I'm a french canadian, I have no problem with english only covers. In fact I prefer it that...
I often go at brmovie.com hoping for some news. But nothing since march 2004. Now they say «Blade Runner Special Edition DVD News Being Updated: May 2005» But it's been that way for more thant 10 days... If they have something new, they should hurry a bit.
At le Quartier Latin. It was a screening for the medias. Metal detectors before going in the theater... And I signed a contract so that I don't speak about the movie before may 18. All I can say is the next 2 weeks are going to be real long. I can't wait to see it again and again.
I watched the dvd on wednesday and must say that I hate slow motion effects on film that was shot on normal speed. Even film looks like video when treated this way. But I still think it's a cool bonus. I saw EP III yesterday. I listened the soundtrack for the first time this morning and I felt a...
No I am positive there is one. I'm at work and can't say exactly where but there is one. With my sony player, with the display, I can see where the laser is and on witch layer (0 or 1) And on this movie, at the layer change there is absolutely no pause at all. Like if my player had a buffer!
I wonder why my sony player is not freezing at all on the layer change. Normally I can see the lights (ch indicator) on my denon receiver going off for 10 frames (1/3 second) but with this film, not at all. I've seen the same only with another title, Apollo 13 DD.ac3
The same problem happened to me recently. I've tried to watch it 3 weeks ago and  . Same problem with 3 differents players. I also see those glue marks. Here in Montreal, at Future Shop they can replace it only for 30 days... But I buy at least 1 dvd every week in that store. And I...
Can't find Paris, Texas here in Montreal, Quebec. Anybody knows if it will be released in Canada later? I was hoping to find it at thecnl but it's b.o. Forget it. I fount it in Vancouver.
Before april 97, the only softwares avalable were demo disks with only parts of movies. I know that parts of Twister and GoldenEye were used that way. But There was no FIRST dvd. There were something like 30 titles avalable the first day in 5 cities that were used as test market.
I just wanted to say that this dvd is indeed in 1:78 anamorphic and not in 4/3 standard. The infos about this title are all wrong. So if you have a 16:9 display and you hate loosing on the sides, you won't!
Can someone tell if my old Denon avr-5700 can switch a component HDTV signal. I want to buy a new receiver but I'd like to wait for a receiver that will switch HDMI and DVI. Thanks.
I found other infos and it seems that it is widescreen (don't know the exact ratio) but it's not anamorphic... And since I'm watching my dvds on a 96 inches screen, well I don't know. I'll probably end up buying this dvd anyway. I saw DM 5 times and bought at least 3 t-shirts. So that is a lot...
I think this title was supposed to be available a week ago but it's not yet here in Montreal and at theCNL. Is it in the USA ? And did someone wrote a review somewhere ?
Jeremy, I understand what you mean. When I got my first movies in april 97, I was reading a lot on the net and waiting for Paramount and Fox to jump on the dvd train. those were big victorys. After that I was hoping for all my favorites childhood movies. And they all came (almost). In a way Star...
Hello, I just want to know if that projector must be placed centered horizontally and vertically with the screen for not using the key stone correction or if it must be placed horizontally with the top (ceiling)or bottom (table) of the screen (like most projectors). Thanks a lot

I just read the audioholics review and Sound & Vision too. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do the move. And Is there someone who can tell me how to edit the title of this thread ? The edit button does not seem to allow that.

I have a 5700. I'll be bying a front projector soon. I'd be happy to use only one component cable instead of component + s-video and composite. And I'd be happy to get one extra rear center speaker. My room is about 12x12. I usually set he level at -15. Nothing to kill an amp. So I'm...
Hello, In the next month I'm buying a Sanyo Plv-z2 front projector and I'll probably change my denon avr-5700 for a avr-3805. I really want to add at least one more speaker to the back. I need to buy 2 fronts, a center, and 3 surrounds. It would be very difficult to have 2 back speakers. My...
Back in april 97, there was no dvd in Montreal but a friend of mine was in New York, the very first monday that dvds were avalable. So she baugh me Blade Runner and Golden Eye. The same day I went to a Hifi store to watch a part of those disk because I did'nt have a player... The sales peoples...
I'm interested by Mauvais Sang (Bad Blood) (1986)Wellspring ~ NR ~ 125 mins. from Leos Carax but when I buy a French movie distributed in the USA, I'm always afraid that the subtitles could be non-removable, burned in the picture. Can someone tell me if it is the case and if the quality of the...
thanks for the answer. I solved the problem by using a cheater plug on the computer power cable that cut the ground. It's maybe not the safest way to fix it but that does not cost a lot...
