I also managed to get in on the first 200 of these, and so far I haven't had any problems with it. I have the IR2BT sitting beside my TV, and it's powered by a mini USB cable running to a wall adapter. I used a harmony 660 to download the codes from the Logitsch database, and then taught the...
Which bluetooth to IR converter are people using? Is there a current summary of what's out there? The last time I looked (a couple of months ago), there wasn't anything that completely solved the universal remote problem.
I'm absolutely amazed that there's not even an official Sony BT-IR...
I know that the original intent was to release on DVD, HDDVD and BR at the same time, but that the plans were changed at the last minute. Have there been any updates in the meantime that might change this? I've been thinking about picking up the DVD version, but if there's a BR version on the...
Has anyone got any idea what the Toshiba HD-D3 player shown on BestBuy's website is? Best Buy Canada Web Store: Home Electronics: DVD Players & Video Recorders: Toshiba HD DVD Player (HD-D3) I've heard of the A3 and XA3, but can't find any reference to the D3. Is it the same player, or...
This movie came up again over the weekend, and of course it still hasn't appeared on DVD. Looking back over this thread, it looks like the 2004 release never happened, and now we're close to 2008 and still no news. Has WHV said anything more about this title?
For those in Canada, you can call 1-877-823-0804 (BVHE) and check the status of your rebate. Sure enough, my discs are backordered, but at least I know they got the form.
I noticed Robert's threads listing the releases on each format, but is there a single thread (or website) that specifically lists which titles are available on one format or the other? I'm considering going dual format, but since there's a lot that's released on both formats now, the exclusives...
That fast? I sent mine in about 6 or 7 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. Did someone find a number you can call to check the status of your discs?
My main problem with the digital route is that I like the idea of owning a movie that I can watch whenever I want. Any of the download services are likely to be PPV only, which just rubs me the wrong way. If I could get a full HD version of a film without DRM that I could access using a decent...
Strange ps3 problem last night. I was watching an upconverted regular DVD, and I noticed that the audio was about hald a second out of sync. I'll have to confirm on another player, but has anyone else noticed a problem like this? I'm using optical audio and 1080i over HDMI (this was on Oz...
Wasn't there supposed to be something in the BR spec about resume play? Either way, it's a feature I'd really like to have (bookmark the playing disc, and resume later on).
Thanks Matt-can you confirm whether or not they actually included chapter stops on the episodes this time? The first season didn't have any, and for a show like this where you might want to get at single sketches, it's a little annoying not to have them.
I was wondering about this, so I tried a little A/B comparison with Ep 3. The hardware -Ps3 over HDMI (1080i) -Pioneer progressive (non scaling) DVD player over component (480p) -Sony 50" SXRD (XBR1) I got the 2 sources as close to in sync with each other as I could, and then started...
Maybe, but this is nothing compared to the wait for twin peaks :) Great news about this set-looking forward to more muppets. Other than the uncut episodes, only other feature that was sorely missing on the first set was chapter stops between segments.
Only thing that I can think of offhand that would improve over the old release would be a better case. What were they thinking? No text on the spine :)?
Seems like a really fast turnaround on these, but I won't complain about a DVD of 300 sooner rather than later. Seems like a title that's pretty ripe for a double dip though.
I hadn't even realized that this was out yet-strange. I'm a fan of both Tarantino and Rodriguez though, but I don't really have any interest in the genre that they're working in. I still might check out the DVD sometime, but maybe not if it's split up like they're talking about now. Doing...
So now there's not going to be a rerelease? Too bad-I might have been interested had they been cheap enough, but at the prices for the Rhino sets, I was fine with passing on them.
Is there a review for this up anywhere? I'm thinking about picking up the boxset, but I haven't decided if it's worth replacing the double feature disc that I already have. The extras for the first movie sound like they'd be worth it though.
I wonder if there'll be another different set of promotional packages for the next batch of seasons (like the heads). Only reason I bought the heads in the first place is that there was no real replacement for Season 6-even in the slipcover, it was still a head, so you might as well have em all...
Can't believe that they aren't going to finish off the Donalds, but at the same time, I'm not surprised. It sounds like the restoration was crap on the last few, but there's also no good reason to release these in such limited numbers. Why go to all that trouble to restore the first ones, and...
Given that it took forever to release a proper SE of pulp fiction, I wouldn't be surprised to be waiting another year or so on this one. I remember the promises of things like the Japanese version of vol 1, but I'm glad that I didn't hold off on buying the single disc releases.
No kids yet, but I can't say that I didn't have the idea in the back of my mind when buying things like the Muppet Show, and some of the Disney Treasures and Looney Tunes sets.
