I recently bought a Fleco DVD-5. Pretty much a basic unit but it works as it should. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...yer?sku=244416 I usually use an 8ch. mixer for handling the mics though that way I can have a bunch of people singing(or at least trying to sing:)) at the same time.
The xb360 will output games at 1080p via component...just not dvd's. It will do dvd's at 1080p through vga only. There a few displays that will take 1080p component...however I'm still not sure whether or not the denon will convert a 1080p component signal onto it's hdmi output.
The denon will take component and convert it to hdmi. It will also pass 1080p on the hdmi. The only problem I see with your setup is the 1080p from the xb360. I don't believe the xb will do 1080p through component...it will do it through vga...but again not sure about component as there aren't...
Lowered price to $750 shipped. Reason I'm selling is I need mpcm for my PS3. If the PS3 had analog multi-channel like most other hd players I wouldn't dare sell my P-965.
SOLD SOLD SOLD Selling my pre-amp. I bought it new from an authorized dealer about 7 months ago. It's like new and very lightly used in a smoke and pet free dedicated theater. Unit has the SNAP room eq/auto setup with mic. It has the latest 6.1 firmware/software update which was just...
Most underrated artist...Mr. Carl Perkins. -Father of rock-a-billy(rock,blues,country sounds mixed together). -Influenced many big acts and artists such as the Beatles(George Harrison came to his funeral). -He wrote and performed some huge hits including Blue Suede Shoes which Elvis...
Dorian...I'd like wait a little longer before seperating them. If I end up having to seperate them...I'll pm you and post here with updated pricing. New package price: $2500 shipped(were talking 7 boxes and over 350lbs. total weight)
I was pretty much in the same boat as Todd also. After much debating I ended up with the new LG lry-517 combo recorder. I have tons of old vhs tapes,hi-8 and even some newer stuff from my digital camcorder. Heck some of my old vhs tapes are 20+years old. I needed the ability to burn both +...
You can certainly use insulation in the "bays" between the joists if you want to but I didn't and after 3yrs of using the riser I don't feel I need to add insulation. My riser is completely carpeted(both vertical sides and top) with normal carpet pad on the top only. IMO if the riser is...
Jim, IMO 8" wide seems a little narrow for such a high riser(12"+)even if it's just intended for a step-up/pivot/sit down action. Maybe add a step to cut the height so it'd be easier for people to get up there. I have a 6" tall step on mine and makes it very simple to get up and down, plus...
I agree, my 12" riser is more than high enough. My theater seats have pretty tall backs when not reclined and 12" is still plenty. Though the bottom of my screen is about 40" off the floor. If you need more than 12" you can always run 2x4's on the floor as a base for the 2x12's. Just run them...
You shouldn't have any problems. Just a matter of queing up the vhs tape and starting the dvd burner. Last week I picked up a LG lry-517. It is combo dvd/vhs recorder. It was a nice trip down memory lane as we dubbed the vhs tapes to dvd.:) I was surprised at how well the dvd's turned out...
+R's do seem the most widely accepted format. That said...my brother's panny(rp-52) will ONLY take -R's. He learned it the hard way by buying a $40 pack of DVD+R's.:frowning: On the other hand my Toshiba and Sony(newer p-scan models) and Pioneer(old 414 model) dvd players seem to run both...
Bob, I agree with what others are saying about placement. I assumed you already had tried different placement. If you haven't then start there. An easy way to experiment(if possible) is by temporarily setting up and running your Ultra's at or as close as possible to your main seating area...
Was it an electrical/static sounding pop or a metallic/clanking pop. If it was a metallic/clanking pop that would likely be your sub driver bottoming. If it was more of an electrical/static pop than it could something with the amp or signal. If it was a rental dvd then it could even have...
Bob, Adding two additional Ultra's will give you a couple more db's but I'd first try tactile transducers in you seating. I've got a pair of original un-modded ULTRA's and a couple other large subs in my theater and the best bang for the buck was achieved by adding some tactile...
Want loud?, Want brute force? I would replace the 15" driver in the KLH's with efficient prosound gold- woods,Pyles,Pyramids etc and use cheap horn drivers for the mids and cheap horn tweets from PE. Just leave the KLH x/o since your not worried too much about sound quality. Considering the...
I have an A/V receiver in a closed cabinet and was wondering if anyone has an idea on rigging up a small l.e.d. etc. which will tell me whether the rec. is on or off with out having to open the cabinet. I have zero experience with wiring up led's etc. so any help would be great. Thanks in...
When the bass hits, the corner areas are worse, but the whole darn ceiling makes noise. I have a fairly large amount of sub bass coming from a pair of svs ultras and a dual 15" d.i.y sub.:D It mainly seems like the tiles are making the most noise but I do hear metal to metal rattles up in the...
Did a quick search and here is a page that shows some of whats available in "down" lighting fiber optic fixtures:http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/Fixtures.htm Keep in mind these prices don't include the fiber or the illuminators. But I found that fiber optics are really easy to work with...
You might look at fiber optic lighting. You can get fiber optic lighting fixtures that look like recessed can lights. All the heat stays up in the ceiling where the light sources are mounted. Usually you'll have one or two centrally mounted light sources mounted up in rafters or floor joist and...
Yah it's a grid with 2x4 acoustic panels. My idea was to only lower one centrally located tile and pipe the stuff up into the ceiling. I've never worked with the blown in stuff so I wasn't sure about the dust factor. My brother's house has some kind of blown in stuff in the attic thats pure...
Last year I built a sub using a pair of PartsExpress dvc 15's pushed by a QSC plx 1602(1100w @8ohm bridged). Each sub runs sealed in 4 cu.ft. and along with a little eq'ing(bfd) I can get very nice repsonse out of it at VERY respectable spls. I'm considering building another sub with identical...
Has anyone used blown insulation on top of a suspended "grid" type ceiling to dampen all the noises these ceilings give off in their basement theaters? Due to home construction I was forced to use a grid ceiling in the basement and it works great, except in the theater. Whenever there is any...
Jud, It's hard to say at what levels a sub will bottom out in real world conditions. It really depends on factors such as room size and the level and what frequency range of the source material your trying to play. For example: If you your trying to play material that contains a lot of...
