If you look at his first post he said this. The digital opitcal setting is turned on in the ps2 menu I am not sure what to tell you. :frowning:

The PS2 does not have a digital coax it is digital toshlink out. That could be your problem right there.

I have not seen one in stores for months. I picked mine up on 9/9/99 for 199.99 and have no regrets. :)

So with one 4 way multi switch you can run four different Direct TV boxes? Or is there more to it than that?

Like I said on another forum the only problem I had with the movie were the Oakleys at the start of the movie. They were not out in 1993 so it would be hard for him to be wearing them. Besides that is was a great movie very moving.

I have a Proscan quasi Hi def TV with VGA inputs and the difference between s-video and VGA is amazing. Not sure about your TV. :frowning:

Halo is amazing ,but I had a lot of fun with Payne as well. I would pick it up ASAP. Great game.

No both SSX Tricky and NHL2002 are both real time DTS. I will agree that both Max Payne and Halo sound a lot better on my Xbox than the DTS stuff on my PS2. They are both good systems.

I think this is just a story. I have not had any problems with my unit since I got it the first day. I have spent many an hours on Halo and May Payne with no problems. :)

I say NFL2K2 the DC version rocks and I hear the XBOX is going to be ever better. I do not like Madden at all. To me Madden 94 was the peak. :)

This player looks like the real deal. A little pricey but I think it even has bass management for DVD Audio, kind of rare. :)

In Austin where I live the digital channels like HBO ect look as good if not better than when I had Direct TV. As far as local stations they look pretty bad. I do like the fact that Time Warner has a lot of channels with Dolby Digital 5.1.

I have used check cards on three differnt accouts for years and never been charged a fee at a merchant.

I am using the VGA on my Proscan 36in semi Hi Def TV and it looks great.

To put the unit in standby hold the top button for a few seconds and the color will switch to red. That way you do not have to turn the powere on and off from the back. :)

Radio shack sells a switcher and a splitter. The switcher has four in one out with a toggle switch, the splitter is just a Y. Two in one out one signal at a time. I think the splitter would work fine for your needs.

OK here is the deal with my splitter. I tried it with the PS2 on first and the XBOX off and it worked fine. I then turned the XBOX on to see what would happen and the Xbox sound came in. I then turned the PS2 off and back on while the XBOX was on and the XBOX was still the unit that the I heard...

You know I tried the splitter with both my PS2 and XBOX on and the Xbox over rode the PS2, I am not sure if it is because of the 5.1 but that was the case. The splitter I the link is the one I picked up no complaints at all.

I ran out of inputs as well. I have three optical but four coming in. I picked up a spliter from radio shack for the PS2 and XBox it works great. So that may be an option for you.

Yes the control works good for me. Took a little bit to get used to like Halo but works great.

Yes I picked it up Friday. It is amazing. I only played the PC version in store so not sure how it compares. It plays great, looks gread, moves great. No complaints here.

I hear it is going to be the best yet. I have the first three for DC and will pick the new one for XBox when it comes out along with Max. :)

I think the key that Universal uses for its movies she be on all media. It is easy to read understand and good for Joe Six Pack and Media Bob alike. :)
