This Onkyo receiver sure would be an upgrade to my old Yamaha receiver which no longer has a volume knob and is covered in jelly and cookie crumbs!
Four kids will do that every time
Would certainly give me the incentive to get back into the home theater addiction!
Good luck everyone!
After many years of gaming pleasure my FIRST generation 13 Gig PS3 finally gave it up last night. I tried to power it up and all I got was a flashing yellow light and it would not turn on. Other than swapping out the hard drive for a 250 Gig unit I've never done anything to it. Does anyone...
I thought it was us Canadians that lived in igloos. I'm in the Hamilton Ontario area and we have almost nothing! We've had a few pretty cold days but overall it's been darn mild this year.
Any other Canadians want to chime in?
Hmmm. It seems from the low number of replies that this problem does not affect all PS3 owners...
I wonder if this a "Launch Machine" problem that the first generation systems had that may have been fixed for later versions. Perhaps an e-mail to Sony may help?
And Keith, I get this problem...
I've had this problem with my PS3 now for a while and I've finally got around to trying to find out why this is happening. I use my PS3 to view pictures that are on the HD of my PC. My problem is that though I can see them on my PC just fine, I get a "Corrupt Data" notice on my PS3. These...
Thanks again for all of your replies. I think I've decided to go with the Sony HDRSR10 as the hard drive recorder seems to be the way things are going. I was thinking though about adding another hard drive to my existing computer and streaming it over to my PS3 when I wanted to watch it. I guess...
Thanks for all of your messages. I'm really glad this seems to be a viable way of getting my recordings to my PS3. I only have a couple of small concerns. 1) I've had really bad luck with external hard drives in the past. I've owned two so far and both have failed on me causing me to lose all...
Thanks for getting back to me Zack! So I hope I'm understanding you here. You are saying I could connect the hard drive directly to my PS3, by-passing the computer completely? What about if I want to edit some part of the recording? Also, are you saying that I would not need to buy actual...
I was looking at purchasing a high definition camcorder to record my two new baby boys but was turned off by the price of a blue ray burner and BR disks. What I was thinking of doing is buying an external hard drive and downloading all of my videos from the HD camcorder to it and then play...
Really? I thought the Ge Force card was a 256 MB card and since the ATI card was a 128 MB card that the GE Force would be better. What makes the ATI better than the Ge Force?
I recently bought an HP media center which has an NVIDIA GeForce 6200SE graphics card in it. I would like to run my computer to both a monitor and my Sony KLVS19A10 LCD TV. I want to be able to watch DVDs and see my digital pictures on my TV while still being able to do work on my PC. (Not...
My wife and I recently purchased an HP Media Center which has 2 intel Pentium processors running at 2.2 GHz (dual cores), 2 GB or RAM memory and an Nvidia GeForce 6200SE graphics card. We got it at a great price so we decided to dive in and replace our old Compaq. My question is, what is this...
Sorry to get a bit off subject but Michael TLV, could you tell me what all is involved with calibrating a television and what the approximate cost would be. I live in Ontario so Canadian dollars would be great. I own a Sony 55XS955 and have often wondered if it would be worth getting it done...
Yes. I actually did replace one of the printers heads just a little while ago. The second printer is brand new so I don't think (I would hope anyway) that the heads are bad. It almost seems as if it's a calibration problem. It's funny how one is red and the other prints blue. What about paper...
Got a real problem here. I've got my computer and 2 Canon i9900 printers which I am using for a small business doing digital phtography with my Canon D20 digital camera. My problem is I take the pictures and load them into my computer and they look great but when I print them, they are not good...
Very god Chris. A very good read indeed. The only problem I have with it is many, many people probably will have no clue what you just said. All the talk about blurring pixels will be lost on someone who just wants to know which "looks" better. Give your opinion as was asked and get on with it...
The SXBR is an awesome set. I apologize if I bothered anyone with my last comments. It's just that forums like this have become a place where no one can just say how they feel about one product or another. I am so tired or reading posts where someone asks, "Which so and so product do you believe...
Give me a break here. I'm making a statement about what I see. I went through allot of televisions, DLP, CRT and LCDs before purchasing the one I now own. I'm not trying to hurt anyone here with the statement I made. The original post was which do we see as a best purchase. I made that statement...
I'm a bit biased, but I love my Sony KDF 55XS955 LCD Projection. The screen Door Effect can be a bit bothersome, but the rainbows in the DLPs give me headaches.
