I have had a Panny 47WX49 for a while and had tweaked the heck out of a while back (64pt convergence, m and e focus, diabled svm etc..) anyways I just moved and I was retweaking and noticed my reds and blues are perfect with the color bars looking through the respective filters but the greens...
Since the C-1's only have useable bass to around 50Hz or so, you want to set them as small and set your crossover to about 80Hz, allowing for all bass below 80Hz to go to your Subwoofer. In most cases, unless your mains have powered subs in them or something, you set the speakers to small.
I have no idea what happened to my wall mounts that came with my Energy Take 5.2 system. Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any that you are willing to sell. Thank you.
Nahhh thanks for the input, but I think I will get the C-C1 (cause it sounds awesome) and make something to put it on to distribute the weight better on top of my RPTV.
I just went and listened to these speaker at my local Energy dealer and they sound very nice. But the C-C1 center is HUGE. I'm gonna have to make some kind of shelve or something so my RPTV wont cave in from it :)
I have the Energy Take 5.2 speaker system with an SVS sub. I just got the Pioneer VSX-45TX reciever (7.1) and now I am going to get two rear surrounds for my setup. I was at first considering getting two more Take 2.2 speakers. Now I am thinking about getting 2 Energy C-1's for mains and a C-C1...
It set them to small...however it said my sub was about 2 feet further away than it really is. My SVS sub is outstanding now. Literally takes my breath away on the really low stuff. The MCACC adjusted the levels perfectly for my room with a big open side on it and now I have tremendous bass. I...
I just got my 45tx and rewired my system and I'm all set up now. I have Energy Take 5.2 speakers and a SVS sub just for reference. I set it all up, ran the MCACC (which is really cool, by the way) and then change my subwoofer distance a little and change the x-over from 80 to 100Hz.
It sounds...
I agree as well. I think it is a great sub for a small room. I used to have one with my take 5.2 set up. But I upgraded to a SVS 25-31PCi and I really think that sonically, the S8.2 was very accurate like the SVS sub, just not as loud or deep of course. I think the only problem with the S8.2 sub...
Thank you everyone, I appreciate the inputs. Looks like i am going to put them 1 meter apart right about the door and window directly behind the listening position and angle down a bit. Thanks for the input!!
So my best bet would be to put them above the door and the window about 3 feet apart? Is it ok to put them that high? I will be using a pioneer elite vsx-45tx.
You think so? I thought corner placement was ideal. I tried both corners and the current one is better but I did not try that wall. I do, however, have somewhat of a room induced low frequency NULL around the listening position because of the large opening on one side of my room. I tried to move...
I am getting ready to get 2 more Energy Take 5.2 speakers to make for a 7.1 setup. Would be a problem if the rear speakers can not be right in the center and equidistant to the seating area due to a door and a window? I have 2 possible locations for the left surround back. Which would be the...
Not too long ago I finally got an HDTV and progressive scan player, and then finally upgraded my crappy speakers to Energy 5.2 set with a SVS 25-31 PCi. I still need to get a reciever and have my sights set on the Pioneer Elite VSX-45TX. Everyone here seems to be raving about it, and I have...
