I had the same issue with my 325, yes it does degrade the picture using svideo. i had an onkyo 600 before, and there was a difference. The 325 softens the picture just a bit, but when you have and hdtv like i do, its frustration.
I wonder if this new "High Current Power Supply" will allow the new Onkyo to reach their rated power specs. It would be interesting to see. Has anybody had a new 601 test for all channels driven?

The new Onkyo's are coming. Looks like they've fixed the power supply problems. The have a new higher current powere supply. The 600 has a zone two output and 96/24 dts decoder.. http://ww3.onecall.com/PID_19263.htm
