Similarly, I've been wondering if I have enough SVS. I've had two of the original 20-39CS subs (before the ISD driver came out) for about two and half years. I might agree that this is quite enough for my HT room--12'x 8'x 14'(WxHxD)--but I've been yearning for more, especially more output in...
I've had two of the original 20-39CS subs (before the ISD driver came out) for about two and half years. Since hearing of the B4, I've been drooling. I've got the dough for this monster, but I'm afraid my "smallish" room would conflict horribly with both the physical size and output of the B4...
Ron or Tom, How do you recommend someone place this uber subwoofer in a listening room? (Not only where, but also which side of the box faces out/toward the listening position.) Also, who makes "reasonably priced" amplifiers that approach the full 5kW?
Is there any as yet undisclosed information regarding Paradigm's upcoming Signature Series of loudspeakers? The few pics from CEDIA have me drooling, and a little more information would be great. I'm most interested in design improvements, price, expected release schedule; you know, the usual.
Anyone have experience with the ACI Sapphire III LE bookshelf speakers? In my quest for a new set of home theater speakers, these are the latest recommendation. I'm currently using Paradigm Reference LCR-450's for the fronts and Paradigm Monitor 3's for the rear (5.1 setup). My room is 14' x...
I would get so absolutely jacked up for a "Friday the 13th" UNCUT box set. "Friday" fans deserve this; we deserve to have available to us, the original uncut versions of these films, especially Part VII and Part ... well ALL of them! Additionally, I would purchase the entire set. I wouldn't be...
Anyone know where I can find a pair of Paradigm Active/40's? I know they've been retired, but some store somewhere must have a fresh pair. Or am I just dreaming? You don't think Paradigm would fulfill a special order for the A40's, do you?

My 2 cents: Almost, but not quite what we deserve. No Superbit & no DTS. Are we asking too much when we ask for Superbit treatment and DTS?
What are the differences, if any, between passively bi-AMPING with two 200W amps and bi-WIRING with one 400W amp? For example, would one method be able to handle dynamic peaks better than the other?
I kind of get the impression from some people that bi-amping isn't worth the trouble unless...
I just received and just finished watching Amélie on R2 DVD. Great transfer and excellent sound (DD & DTS). If you have a region-free DVD player, this one is a must. I also have Delicatessen, and it is also of excellent quality.

I got mine from here. I had watched this movie four [full] times on DVD before I finally saw it in the theaters, and all I can say is that I haven't enjoyed seeing a movie that much in a movie theater in a long time.
Two (2) SVS 20-39CS subwoofers: $700 (plus shipping)
I am offering only the two subs; not an amplifier. They are roughly 15 months old and are in the same perfect condition as when originally purchased. When I first received them, I put them in their corner, and they have not been moved...
I just received my Region-3 [NTSC] copy of DRIVEN (w/ DTS). When I play it on my laptop, there appear to be pulldown problems. Pans aren't always smooth, and there's some noticeable aliasing. When I play Region-1 NTSC discs, I do not experience such problems. Do Region-3 DVD's usually have 3:2...
I bet the DTS track on the RC3 copy may be encoded like theatrical DTS tracks--the LFE is mixed into the surround channels and then extracted through processing. Can anyone confirm this?
For those who know, how does the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack on the Region-1 release of DRIVEN compare to the DTS 5.1 track on the Region-3 version of DRIVEN?
When can this forum expect an online chat with MGM?
I really wish the word could get to MGM to consider a director's cut of this movie. I think the studio originally had it cut to play more along the lines of the typical teen-horror flick; therefore, I don't think the theatrical version lives...
Is there any chance that MGM will release a "Disturbing Behavior" Director's Cut DVD? Such a disc would have what are now just deleted scenes fully restored and placed back into the movie by director, David Nutter. In my opinion the theatrical cut is a great movie as is, and I wouldn't be...
