Ajay: I knew you'd love them . . . just wait . . .it only gets better :) As to the finish, we just added this info to our FAQ page: The Piano Gloss finish is essentially an automotive finish and can be cleaned and "repaired" in a similar manner. Usually, the finish can be easily...
Steve: You'll still want to break it in, that's the fun part! We only put about 30-60 minutes on them during testing. Your fun time is just around the corner :)
Michael: The short answer is probably a substantial improvement. -8 to -10 db below reference is really quite loud. Unless your room is particularly small, the Titans will be working well, but they will be working pretty steady at that level. The Maestro won't even break a sweat . . .
Brian, Steve, David, Craig: Just a sincere thanks . . . the last couple days I've been away from the biz and its been real busy, kind of stressful, etc. and your comments are cheering me up :) You are all gentlemen for sure and again, thanks, and enjoy your music!
Evan: The good news is you're gonna love it more than you know, the bad news; we're currently running two to five weeks behind on the Maestro, (depending on finish). Email me soon so we can get your order inline and cut your wait time as much as possible :)
Evan: Thank you for such kind words. I know you love your system and that makes me both happy and proud. You're right, this is a great thread . . .lots of very interesting and informative info . . . a gold mine for anyone wanting to know more about subwoofer performance. Thanks again and...
We're lucky to have a working recording studio as the second floor of our building. LOTS of live music is such a tool for our designs. Here's a list of some of the recordings we use. Scroll down a bit as some at the top are movies: http://www.audioc.com/library1/recordings.htm
Direct began long before the internet. We've been consumer-direct for over 27 years. One large difference for us: In the first 17 years we printed and mailed a costly paper catalog about twice a year. Since going on-line with our website, (exactly ten years ago this month), we've only done two...
There are two distinct types of inwall speakers. The most common ones are those that are designed as a plate that installs directly into the sheetrock. These generally use the wall cavity as the enclosure. These units can be perfectly suitable for background music and non-critical listening as...
R-DES will be very cool, allowing easy control via. computer interface. It will be available as a separate piece for use with any subwoofer. Considering the anticipated price it will be simply amazing. Oh, and it will be software upgradeable :)
My turn to chime in with a big thank you to Craig for the time and effort he has put into all this. I'm particularly proud of his summary paragraph. When our products cause people to want to listen to more music and watch more movies, we've achieved our goal. And of course another big thank...
Mark: The basic R-Des unit will not include measurement, you can use your own meter, TRURTA, ETF etc. There is also a measurement option including a mic that will be available at what I'm told is a very reasonable price. This is one of those projects that has been in the works for a LONG time...
Mark Shifter has put together a very talented team to design R-des. They've been on this project for well over a year. All the preliminary info I've seen tells me this will be a must have, and yes ACI will be carrying the unit. We intend to offer it in package with our subs and for separate...
Ned: I'm not familiar with either the Stryke or the Tumult so I can't comment on comparisons. The Maestro driver is proprietary, built to our specs. We don't sell the Maestro without the amp as the amp contains the EQ, four band limiting etc., to enable proper performance.
Chris: The new website went active at 5:32, Friday, Oct 1 (sounds like something from Terminator". Major Kudos to Brenda for a fantastic job. She put an amazing amount of time, talent, and energy into this project. Nearly 1000 pages with over 2000 pics is a ton of work. You paid her...
The Titan and sub cable promised to Chris for the event is built and ready to ship. So if there is someone else in Texas who wants to have this sub for Oct and take to the event just let me know.

Craig: Very proud, he does great work and is a great young man besides. Thanks!:) Dave: I've been wondering about Man on Fire. Sounds like I should try to pick that one up soon and give it a spin . . .
Craig: "Hits like a house" I know. Years back, maybe around 95, Ross, (who was in charge of shipping your Maestro), was about a year away from getting ready for his Black belt test. Of course I was sparring w. him in the kitchen. Problem was, my fake left was pretty lame, . . . my left...
My wife and I spent two weeks in Ireland in mid June. The Pubs went smoke free a few months before. It was great! The smokers simply took their smoke breaks outside when they wanted to. Us non-smokers would save their places for them. The bartenders and patrons all said they felt it was much...
Dave, just noticed your question re: sensitivity. I believe I remember it to be around 87db 1 watt/meter. I'll try to do some digging later tonight when I get home to confirm. Craig, here's hoping that a good night's sleep helps your son kick that infection in the butt . . .
Craig: Glad to hear the beast has finally arrived. You had a pretty long wait. I hope you and your son enjoy Master & Commander. Most importantly, I hope he starts feeling better ASAP.
