You guys are talking about some serious equipment here. The average guy may run his Silicon Optix' Reon-VX processed SD-DVD (even if it's an XA2) into his 42" LCD, think it looks pretty good, and settle for SD-DVD (and his iPod) and not fret the format wars. Then you have SACD, DVD-Audio, HD-DVD...

I am not sure there will be anything but losers in the format war. People are reporting that the upscaling of SD DVDs in the new Toshiba HD-AX2 is so good they can not tell the difference from HD-DVDs even on large displays. Just get one of these players and be done with it. Remember the winner...
