Actually, I should have rephrased that. I see Toshiba losing out in the high definition DVD war and wanted to compare the results of a format war being similar to what has happened with DVD Audio/SACD. Not sure if either format is doing better than the other in the audio arena.

If we want the best HD has to offer, Blu-Ray must win. HD-DVD is too much of a compromise IMHO. Hopefully Sony gets its act together and allows component video connections at full resolution or else a lot of HDTV owners won't be upgrading for a very long time.
